What makes you say his concepts are not being implemented? There's nothing simple about what the habs are doing. Simple is what Therrien was doing ("chip and chase"), which was effective but boring and limited in potential. He is finally learning. KISS - Keep it simple stupid. Players were all screwed up with his ethereal concepts.
Cool quote. Tonight’s unanswered blowout can be a blip, even the very best teams suffer them in the modern NHL. But if we’re really past the “rebuild” phase, we must expect to see a response tomorrow.''MSL said he didn't even have to intervene after their bad start. MSL said nothing. This shows how much this team has grown over the past six weeks. The identity they've built can take them even further in the coming months."

In the 7-3 loss against the Leafs, MSL showed again that he had difficulties adjusting to these situations. Call a time out, replace Monty to wake up your team. What makes you say his concepts are not being implemented? There's nothing simple about what the habs are doing. It's ok, I know it's hard to give him credit and everyone that dumped on him is scrambling to find an explanation that excludes him from the equation.

You don’t replace the G in a mid season game when there’s another game the following day the backup is preparing to play inIn the 7-3 loss against the Leafs, MSL showed again that he had difficulties adjusting to these situations. Call a time out, replace Monty to wake up your team.
Playing Dobes in the 3rd period would not had killed him. The guy can play the following day no problem. You don’t replace the G in a mid season game when there’s another game the following day the backup is preparing to play in
Habs win tonight vs NYR and they will have played .750 for the week / .500 worst case with a L
So you're one of those that shows up after losses to crap on MSL? People love to talk about timeouts because they have nothing else to say about the coaching. Its not play station. Most of the important coaching decisions happen prior to the game, during practices, etc or in line matches. Calling or not a timeout is a miniscule event in the grand scheme of things when it comes to coaching and hockey. Its effect on the game is nearly incidental and is more performative than anything. Its not a very good way of evaluating hockey coaching and is something the layperson will latch on to in the absence of anything meaningul to say. Losses happen. They are not preventable. You look at large sample sizes to see progress or not. But there is a group of posters who absolutely love to condescend to MSL because he never coached at the NHL level even though he's doing an amazing job and way better than many experienced coaches. But I guess if he called a timeout that would change their perception? I think you can be better. In the 7-3 loss against the Leafs, MSL showed again that he had difficulties adjusting to these situations. Call a time out, replace Monty to wake up your team.
thats too bad. I guess you must grind your teeth pretty hard when they win. See ya at the next loss.Still don't like him at all. 15ish games of good play doesn't negate the absolute putrid start to the season. Even smaller sample size than the start to the season that was to small to judge MSL on. Laine's shot being unreal doesn't make the PP structure great and contract year performances from Evans and Armia don't move me having watched them for many years.

?? Criticism or 'dislike' of a coach does not equate to cheering for loses and I enjoyed tonight's game quite well. Sad at your attempt at wit though.thats too bad. I guess you must grind your teeth pretty hard when they win. See ya at the next loss.
