So the David Gilmour show was phenomenal. I've seen Roger twice and both my youngest and I thought David's show was superior. It got off to a bit of a slow start but when the sound effects preceding Breathe started up the crowd responded and it took off from there. A surprising highlight for me was Fat Old Sun, which is not often seen as a premiere Floyd song but he shredded the guitar on that one and it really impressed. The newer material that was less well known was edgier than the new album would suggest. The live mix was guitar heavy which worked well for a live show. Comfortably Numb was a tremendous encore. You know the band realize the historicity of the moment. They lingered a while on the stage for two bows after the encore. They took in the moment. Tonight is the last show of the short limited tour. If you are on the fence and can swing it, go. This might very well be it for your chance to see him.

Seats were pretty solid. Good view of everything.

And a snippet of what it sounded like.

Not my video. The site won't let me add the snippet from our seats so I had to grab from Youtube. I can't hear it as I'm sitting in the concourse where they are playing music in front of a fountain. It's the only place I could find a seat so cut me some slack. Hopefully it sounds ok. In any event, sharing it with loved ones was special. My oldest isn't a big classic rock guy but the middle and younger ones my brothers and a nephew were all loving it. The only disappointment was having to act like I was happy to be inside MSG.

I had told my wife in about 2020 that if Gimour toured again with the boys old enough to appreciate it that we would spend the money and travel and I'm glad I did. Worth the highway robbery of tickets, travel, and food. Not to mention time. I'm exhausted today. Got in late Friday, got to my brother's after midnight. Did not sleep all that well. Had a hustle and bustle Saturday leading up to the show. Got back to his place well after midnight again. Got up early to get my youngest to the airport since he has the earliest flight of the three of us. Took the middle one for breakfast, returned the rental car, took he shuttle, got through security and now I'm sitting here catching my breath.

OK, for today's game. I expect @Bleedred will tell us all how great the San Jose goalies are. I know he has followed them for years and raves about Blackwood's consistency and Vanacek's courage. If the current NJ goalies flop maybe the team should consider trading for one or both of the guys with San Jose.

NJ is coming off a big OT win that I completely missed. I'll watch the highlights after I get this posted. The Sharks are having a banner season. Of course the banner says "Going Out of Business Everything Must Go". The Sharks are coming off a 5-2 loss to Minnesota but that was on Thursday so they have the rest advantage over NJ. The Sharks PP is at about 18% with the PK at about 82%. They score about 2.5 goals per game and give up about 3.7 goals per game. NJ scores about 3.7 goals per game and surrenders about 2.9. If those numbers hold NJ should be fine so long as they don't run out of gas.

That's about it for me. I'll have to decide if I want to gorge myself before I get on the plane. I also might pass out at the table here if I don't move around. Hopefully I'm home in time to watch most of this one. I think I land just as it gets started. I'll presumably listen to the first period on CarPlay while I drive home after getting my car from section 3C.

Home
Home again
I like to be here
When I can

When I come home
Cold and tired
It's good to warm my bones
Beside the fire

Really wanna see Jack and the boys do this to the shitbag or coward

I know. I already posted that. But I really needed to also post it alone for the reference.

Also, @My3Sons once again another great GDT!

I do apologize for somewhat trying to steal your thunder, as my last post was probably going to be the gist of the GDT had I gotten to make it!

I won't complain about all the hockey, as it's been a great distraction for me, but why in the f*** are we about to play our 18th game tonight?

With another 3 games in 5 nights, away from home, coming up? Just brutal.

This is about as must win a game as you’ll find <20 games into a season. Playing a shitty team with a brutal next 5 coming up. A loss here and we could end up .500ish or worse through 23 games

I have so little thunder I don’t worry about anyone stealing it so have at it. That would have been a great GDT with the feces in a sack and the casino gifs. Consider this one co-hosted. It’s not that I really want to pair these but I don’t want to upset the rules about continuing during a winning streak.
