Meh. Still selling Leafs stock. Their goaltending is pretty great and their core forwards are still good but the rest of the game has fallen off a bit. Not impossible for them to win, worse teams have won and the East is weak, but I don't see it yet.

Good teams have good results during the reg season, elite teams have good results in the playoffs. Jury is still out on a bunch of teams which they are, good or elite.

Having great analytics didn’t serve them well in the playoffs under Keefe. Berube is definitely an old school dump and chase guy that isn’t going to put up good xG. But maybe this is the change they need to luck their way through the playoffs, who knows. They definitely play a lot different from past years. They’re a boring low event team that wins a lot of close games rather than the possession and rush offense teams of the past.
