The hype train didn't even fully take off until after s1 of those 3 specifically, though I will admit this is a slighly different show format. But unless you're talking about the questionable writing of the second game (which I have no opinion on cause I have never played so no spoilers please), the show is only going to get bigger as word of mouth keeps growing and more people eventually get around to watching it.

This is really good how is anyone complaining about it? I didn't play the game and dont give a shit about the game and everything has been good except episode 4

what was wrong with episode 4? and your right the show has been great. (not saying your talking to me) Im not really complaining just pointing out what I notice about it and I cant help but do it because alot of parts are word for word but I never once said the show it's self was bad.
 
For the most part I think this has been great, there are minor changes but for the most part the show is very good and faithful to the source material, most of the changes that are made make the show better like the scientists in episode 1, and Sam being deaf in episode 5, I actually really liked Sam being deaf, I felt it added to the emotion of the episode.

But as somebody that knows what's coming in season 2, there is 1 specific storyline I hope they change, there is a reason I have only played sequel once, and probably will only play it once.

And for anyone that's played the sequel and you think you know why, It's not what you think it is.

Like I said, it’s free ice cream day and you’re ‘pointing out’ the selection of flavors. You may not think that show is objectively-bad, but you‘re definitely not talking like a person who is enjoying the show.

all that time and this is your reply? well I do and Ill also be buying this show on 4K. Let me point out the short comings or compare scenes in peace. I honestly dont care about your opinion.

Very weird response given the last post you responded to not even directly referring to you. Clearly you’re concerned with the inference I made, when it comes from anybody.

and it wouldn't have mattered if one of the filming crew's appendix burst, and they had to finish the scene before they could rush them to the hospital: the game did it better.

Why did I decide to go a different way with this post? Well, the suggestion that it its effort to criticize a show isn't completely true. Sometimes a show does something so incredibly stupid I'm more shock more people haven't called it out, and what triggered this revelation in regards to the last of us. The simple realization that Sam's appendix bursting would of made way way way more sense then him having a disease that even today (not during a 20 year zombie apocalypse) take almost 2 years of treatments! And I may have a little insight into this because just this week a family member of mine got to watch an NHL game from a Suite because they where invited because his son had getting treatments for leukemia for almost a year and a half.

Edit: This is a question to everyone: Do you think "The Last of us" is above criticism?

That’s a difference in execution of the plot. That’s not at all the same thing to what I was taking about.

Hope your family member’s treatment goes well and recovers.

to the first part: my mistake thought u replied to an older message and the 2nd part is still what I mean. I do like the show, quite alot actually but Im still going to compare them. there's a bar and I dont think the show exceeded it yet, does that mean I hate the show? no I like it alot but its not as good

Off to a pretty good start so far with these flashbacks. Let me guess they weren't in the game :rolleyes:

Damn... That Mall sequence was so B.Movie. Chemistry was off...

The running and stupid fight wasted 15 min...Im not sure about the flashback being so long...
Worse episode for me.

People are so f***ing picky. Just sit down and enjoy lol

Not saying you can't have independent thought or your own opinions but come on, that was a good episode. And I admit I didn't play the game, didn't now about Left Behind DLC, but that didn't stop me from enjoying it.

I will say though I like the weekly aspect. A streamer on Twitch isn't watching because he wants to binge all these episodes at once at the end. I don't like that model. This is the first I've felt about a show where I can just take it in for an hour live, and then spend the week breaking it down and preparing for the next episode. That's kind of lost these days, and it's something I haven't done since 24 where I'm just eager for the next episode to start a week from now
