The Justin Williams appreciation thread

Between him and Mitchell, not sure which one I'll miss in a Kings jersey more. They're both a hockey player's hockey player. They show up, give you what they got, and you can't ask for more.

These two had huge roles on this team through play and leadership. Time to see if the 'core' can keep it going.

Nooooooo! But it's happening and it will sting a bit. Love J-Dub! Scuds then Willie then Justin man warriors that's gonna be hard to replace. Man wish we can clone all three of these guys.

ok so since the Kings missed the playoffs, I have blocked out all Kings related stuff until just now in preparation for the draft. So why is Williams not going to be with us next year? I'm assuming free agent and Richards taking all our money is the reason? :(

The word is the Kings and Williams aren't even close on any kind of deal. Safe to say he's gone when free agency opens up next week.

Williams giving the boogeyman hand waggle at Torres after a scrum with him last postseason during the comeback. Between clutch goals. Everything you need to know about the guy.

I have a feeling that Williams, like Mitchell, will be missed on the ice more than people realize.

I wish him all the best. I hope some team signs him to massive long contract. Dude has been underpaid here.

You can't give Williams a long term high paying contract at this point if you're the Kings. Appreciation's got nothing to do with it. Just business. DL is doing business now unlike last off-season.

Dude has been underpaid here.

This, and then some.

Mr. Game 7...

Well, if this is indeed the end, thanks for everything JW. A tremendous asset for this organization during his time here.

He will be missed. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

One of my favorite Kings ever.
J-Dub=Grit
Will be sorely missed.
Thank you for your contributions.

I could see Pitt wanting J-Dub, Crosby would finally have a Winger that doesn't vanish come playoff time.

One of my absolute favorite Kings. I'd bring him back, but it looks like the writing is on the wall. Thanks for everything J-Dub, you were truly a critical piece of bringing the Cup to L.A. and in making the Kings into a powerful name in the league. Please at least come back and retire with us :)

As much as I don't want to lose JW, it seems like that's what will happen.

He was a solid guy and, as others have said, a favorite King of mine. He'll definitely be missed.
