Pretty wild that Saad would give up that much salary.
that is over $5 mil over 2 years. he will get signed but he is probably going to lose $3 mil over the 2 years.

Motivation to play well wherever he signs, but yeah, I’d have probably just kept the guaranteed millions if I were him.

Can't believe Saad is walking away from that much money just because he doesn't wan to play in the AHL. He's made his money already I suppose so if he loses $3+m over the next two years by signing a $1m AAV deal or something like that then more power to him. He probably wants 1,000 games played in the big leagues
