Left over pork tenderloin, chicken thighs and steak bites. My GF made the ‘Kardashian’ salad. Red wine and vinegar with chopped up salami and cheese.

Crosby understood the assignment at the end. Granlund was putting the Finns on his back, and Crosby made sure to get in his way. Good check, and good goal.

Not a perfect game, but a win’s a win and they have a chance at the US in the Final. One game, anything can happen - hope the boys in red are ready to play their asses off.
It was pretty frustrating watching our supposed defensive aces on the Cirelli line running around chasing the puck for their last couple shifts.

I still don't love the idea of taking role players for these tournaments. I get you want guys that are going to forecheck hard and lay out for pucks, but come on, this is the national team - if that flag is on your crest you need to be doing absolutely everything to win regardless of role, or you should never wear it again *cough* mitch *cough*.

Crosby was the perfect encapsulation of that; playing hurt but still throwing his body at a guy and fighting to close out a game.

You know you're f***ed when the guy who's supposed to be one of the premier centres in the league, making a top 5 caphit, can't even hold his position on the third line of his national team.

Sweden has a lot of good individual forwards but none of them are ever capable of ever leading their teams. Sweden just churns out a combination of low intensity, slow and skilled forwards. No passion, no grit, no go getters. It’s a shame what Sweden has become. Back when they used to have guys like Lidstrom, Forsberg, Sundin, Alfredsson, Sandstrom, Sundstrom, Dahlen etc.

Not sure if it's just coincidence or not but Petey has been out agains the Miller line a couple times already
Miller's been promoted to playing with Guentzel and Hughes. He's on the PP2 and PK1.

+3 in the tournament and 100% on the draw tonight.

Miller has been a positive asset for a deep US team, whereas Pettersson is invisible on a Swedish squad that is the weakest at center of any team in the tournament.

Same problem as a lot of non-USA countries where very few recent (say post 2015) high draft picks have excelled or resulted in game breakers. For Sweden it's just Dahlin and the EP40 of christmas past.

Canada has Makar and maybe now Bedard and Celebrini (with Jarvis, Harley and Johnston just below). Guys like Byfield and Laf haven't arrived yet.

USA's list is way too long.
