I don’t like a lot of the Canadian players

Yeah, I’ve ended up putting this on and half-watching and my main takeaway so far is that I absolutely hate 80% of the players playing for Canada and that makes it really trying to cheer for us.

Sweden is running D to W breakout but at no point getting the puck back to the middle. Not impressed with Kempe or Forsberg so far. I think running Petey and Willy as a pair is their best shot at generating anything.


I think Hedman's played fine given the difference in pace between the teams. Brodin looks like the best defensive D since Hjalmarsson or Vlasic.

Disagree…he looks like hammered shit to me. Can’t make a pass to save his life, listless and looks disengaged to me. Not what you hope for in a team captain…at least not so far.

It’s a slightly more intense all-star game. Pretty much pointless.

Who are the other two?

Watching McDavid play with the other best players in the world has me thinking two things.

1) he is the the most skilled player out there. The talent is clear

2) he doesn’t think the game as well as the other top players. It seems when Crosby or Mack have the puck they are thinking 3-4 steps ahead, vs McDavid is using his superior skill the reacting to what happens.
