Canada is physically beating them down...at the same time the same personnel lacks the skill they desperately need. Kind of a similar issue that plauged the Canada Mens World Junior team.

Doughty doubted. What an unbelievable fumble.

His passes out of the defensive zone have been good, but his skating looks labored and his offensive zone play has been bad.

Morrisey the only guy out there doing anything to keep the play alive. The other guys are playing like it’s the mid 2000s staying locked at their spot on the points - no rotations to open up passing lanes for the forwards.

All of them are good ES players at the NHL level, but I’m really surprised they put together a group with so little dynamic play making ability on the point.

3rd/4th lines aren’t doing much tonight. Maybe we should have brought a bit more talent and not done the typical Team Canada thing.

4th line has been solid, 3rd line has a lot of skill but aren’t accomplishing much out there. Same deal with Mackinnon’s line.

They built a team that would do well in an NHL regular season. It just doesn't work in these short tournaments.

The lesson you hope for next year is to just bring your most talented group.
