I have to admit watching the lightning in 04 kept my love for the NHL.
When the Panthers traded Bure I was gutted and it was clear to me Cohen was not going to not go all in to build a serious roster. Even with him being injured constantly, he was better than anything in that trade.

This Tampa core always leaves you wanting a little more... sure they got the cups during the COVID years but those are just a bit hollow.

Cups are Cups. No organization or fanbase in any sport would not have taken two titles and three Finals in three years and not feel the same way.

People dump on those things like they chose all that happening at that time. It's just hate because everyone else played with same things. You don't control that either. I was just as happy as when they won the first cup in 04. Cry harder is what I say.
