Depends if we get Leafs Barrie or Avs Barrie.Does that make us better?

Can he play LD? Cuz we need a LD for Marino if/when we move Schultz.Jarry & Schultz (some salary retained since Barrie is only paid approx 2.5m due to the Aves retention)
For
Barrie
I’d trade CDS before Jarry
Most of us would trade CDS before Jarry but why would Toronto do that?I’d trade CDS before Jarry
ZAR and Simon are on cheap contracts. Trading Bjugstad would free up 4.1m in cap space.I’d also trade ZAR/Simon before Bjugstad
They're the one with the goalie problem...not us. Why move a cost-controlled asset like Jarry for a draft pick? They are not giving up a first for a backup goalie. Most of us would trade CDS before Jarry but why would Toronto do that?
If Jarry continues to play the way he is playing right now I would consider letting MM leave in the summer. Anything over 6M would be an over payment for him. He is not a top 10 goalie in this league.
Unless we are getting someone like Kapanen (which we wont) as Peat? was saying we should just keep Jarry.
Then we shouldn't offer him more than 6M. But this is the one deal I am afraid that GMJR is going to do something really crazy like offering 7.5M, which would shoot us in the foot.Murr can't just leave. Still RFA.
If we can get him in at under 4m a year, that would be ideal. Marino is far better than him already and I'm not sure Petts lasts as a 2nd pair guy with the kids we have in wbs. But if he's our 3rd pair LD and we move Johnson, quality. All quality. Not over doing it whatsoever. He is a middle pair defenseman right now. His age is irrelevant.
He will be paid like a middle pair defenseman next season.
Jarry and Murray are both RFAs...I don’t see JR paying both of them big money...ideally, I don’t think he should feel he has to force himself to make a choice...let the season play out...see what you have, field trade offers even for Murray, and if both are close as goalies, trade the one who nets the best offer back...this isn’t rocket science...no need to trade a good goalie in Jarry without being forced to...and worst case, he can take both to arbitration and get one more year to have to make his decision...I just hope he’s not throwing a truck full of money at Murray because rn he’s not showing himself to be better than Jarry
Pens have to package Jarry with a contract and get back a either a RH center or RH forward who can play RW with Sid. I still move Kuhny for a good pick high third or second. Bjugstad opens up cap room but Pens need a RH center in a deal.
