Nobody should be an anchor to those 2. They get paid so they get forced to have cheaper players play with them so they need to step it up and start getting back to being the dominate line they were until Matthews got injured.

I don’t really care what they make. You can put Thornton with Mcdavid and he’d slow him down. It’s hockey not basketball

Honestly, I don't think line shuffling is the answer. Other teams have played the Leafs so much they now know how to keep them off the scoresheet, just clog up the slot whenever they have the puck.

I think Keefe should spend less time trying to find the right linemates and more time coaching them on to deal with a collapsing defense ... Like use your now wide open d-men, for one.

He keeps getting to play with Matthews, absolutely f***ing horrid.

Thornton is so slow, that he's rendered useless in the Neutral zone.
In the offensive zone all he's good for is dumping the puck behind the net. What plays is he making? Sure he can "once in a while" pass to a WIDE open Matthews/Marner. That's all he does. Absolute dog shit, can't believe Keefe is playing him this heavily.
