At first it wasn't a concussion.

Then later it turned out to be concussion symptoms related to a previous head injury IIRC.

And now it isn't again.

Who knows what's going on...

Definitely concussion related.

coach green doesn't seem optimistic that michael ferland will be back at all during his post game comments. probbaly shut down for the season and return in september seems likely

Maybe everyone is concussed at this point. The only explanation I have.

A real shame about Motte, who's had a tough year.....fractured foot from taking a slapshot earlier in the year and now this. If he's 'lucky', it might be a shoulder sprain or a slight separation. But looked a lot more serious than that. Any surgery now, and that's it for the season.

Without Motte on the fourth line, that trio just gets slammed in terms of zone time and possession. There's no way to sugar-coat it...every time that Beagle line is out there, the Canucks are hemmed in their own zone and surrendering quality scoring chances. Even Sutter's addition to that line has only helped marginally.

I'd try Roussel on that line....he's not doing anything with Gaudette and Boeser on the third line anyway.

Still can't believe there was no call f,,cking garbage officiating.
Watching that happen live and no call was brutal. The refs were trash the whole game.
The most comical part about the whole thing was the whole arena actually booing when they made the high sticking call and showing the replay on the jumbotron. It was an obvious penalty how does a whole arena boo something like that? Guy behind me was bitching about all the non calls against us but jfc the Sharks got away with murder last night

MacEwen's development seems to be getting derailed this year. He is missing a lot of time to ride the bench/sit in the pressbox and it kind of seems like he has lost his rhythm from last year.

That said he was disappointing in the initial opportunity he got to come in and make an impression

I sure hope that Bailey or MacEwen replace Motte over the totally useless Schaller. Might be good to see Bailey's speed and he has certaily earned a look.

Already one bad player in Beagle on that line. When Beagle and Schaller are out there together they get really hemmed in and hammered.

I hope I'm wrong, but if you are expecting Bailey to take on the role that Beagle line has been assigned I think you will be disappointed. Bailey is not a physical forechecker and he isn't physical in his own zone either. He is an offensive player first and foremost. Beagle's line is a defensive line first.

MacEwen is coming with him. He isn't the defensive gem so many have come to think of him either. He has lined more guys up in 3 years than I care to count and has missed 99% of them. I'm not sure he wants to chance what hitting might do to his body or he's been saving it up for when he gets a shot up there. Hope that's it. The fact is that the MacEwen we have seen in his couple short recent stints hasn't been that good at all. Yes, he runs around and skates hard (when he wants to), but he accomplishes so little for the amount of energy he exerts. He is also out of shape. Don't know what the protocol for call-ups to Vancouver is, but the guy has come to the bench sucking wind like it's training camp, which may account for some of his lethargic effort on many of his shifts.

Yeah I was really hoping he'd stick with the big club after what he did last season. I had him pegged as possibly turning into a decent 3rd liner with his skill. He should be playing on our 4th line already at the very least - regardless of its role or who his centre is.

It would be nice to just see some more homegrown talent that isn't the result of high picks come up through the system and make it. Like Archibald.

Ferland is fully healthy. He’s not n his way to Utica for a conditioning assignment.

Hopefully he can stay healthy. Would be a great addition for a post season run.

He would. Canucks have extra bodies in the A like Sven and Goldy to call upon during the playoffs. Played around 35 games without him, so they really don't know what he can do with the team.

They've been fortunate not to have to dip into the A for Dmen, aside from 2 games from Sautner. But, it's mostly inexperienced guys on D like Sautner, Brisebois, Rafferty, Juolevi, Chatfield who would be inserted into the lineup if 2 Dmen are out.

The good thing about Ferland is he would look good on any line. Even if he’s just on your 4th line opposite Sutter he’s shown in the past he can make an impact from a limited role.

Add Leivo to that mix and you have some unbelievable depth up front, when healthy.

Eddy Punch Clock and the Broken Canucks sounds like a great garage rock band

Edit: Sorry, I think this came off a little more tone deaf than I thought, I meant no disrespect. I really think honouring one of EPC through the title is a great idea
