It's probably just so that they can show that they believe himI find it interesting that Pettersson was placed on IR to make room for Silovs instead of Hughes. May be an indication that Hughes is closer to returning than Pettersson.
Week to week. Right when he was finding his legs tooJoshua hurt from the Nashville game with a apparent leg injury. Great.
I (crudely, by hand) went through the numbers last week and we were almost at almost 14% of cap hit lost to injury. I imagine WAR and cap hit are fairly tightly correlated.Canucks now officially lead the league in wins above replacement (per Evolving Wild) lost due to injury (this is if you include Miller's absence as an injury). Second place is Colorado, and most of that is Landeskog, who has not played at all in the last 3 years, but is still counted as a high WAR player.
Not only have the Canucks been unfortunate with injuries, but they have also been to the best players on the team. The fact that they are still in a playoff position is remarkable at this point, and should they make the playoffs (very likely assuming fewer injuries and better luck in OT) they may well be a lower seed that is favoured to win a first round match-up.
After practice Tocchet said it was a new injuryDid your med staff strike again?
Did they let Hughes attempt to play through and injury he now aggravated..?
