So who's on the board to be drafted at #12 again??

I'm really pissed about Grigorenko. Why keep him here and have him with 3rd / 4th liners giving him five minutes a night. Admit you made a mistake and send him back to juniors.. Rolston is trying to get an extension.. Playing Grigorenko isn't in his best interest.

Game wasn't that bad when you consider Juliette being the opening act. That right there is why parents should NOT tell their kids that they can be anything when they grow up. She even has the one name moniker already.

Its not Rolstons call for one thing. (sending him down)

And he might as well stay up for the remaining 20-25 games. He'll learn more up here than being a top dog in juniors.

Rob Ray - about put a hex on the whole damn thing. Probably needs to resume judging wing contests w/ that really hot chick from Food Wars on the Travel Channel.

The one on Harboneau or however you spell it? ... That happens every time the puck is on the boards.... and it wasnt even that hard. That was one of the ones I thought was a joke...along with the hooking one where he lifted the guys stick perfectly.

Not sure what the other one was.
The hook was a bad call, IMO. The trip was clear as day, and the "slash" wasn't a slash, but was a spear. He was lucky to get off with 2.

Yeah I know it's Darcy's call. How much confidence can this kid actually have going forward. Hopefully he does see this as a wakeup call and understands he needs to get better.

That was, in all honesty, one of the worst anthems I have ever heard. She couldn't hit the high notes for the "Rockets red glare" part, and it didn't sound like she switched octives correctly either. Never mind the constant drawn out syllables and such....

What is Florida thinking having her sing the national anthem? Flat out terrible.

How terrible would you feel if it was a Make A Wish ordeal?

Grigorenko clearly needs to adjust to the speed in the NHL. His biggest problem is he just seems to be a moment behind. The Sabres will work on this in the off-season and he'll be a better player next year.

I'd feel bad that she was dying, obviously, but other than that? Not at all, really.

It's not like I'm saying terrible things about her....just that she objectively can't sing :)

If Make A Wish really wanted to do it right, they'd bust out the mind control mics and MAKE everyone enjoy it :p:

I smell a Gary Roberts summer in his future. At least I hope there's one.

Agreed. That and I think he needs to be put w/ other playmakers. I really wanna see him on a line w/ either Stafford or Pominville.

This would be sick. I think adding ten pounds of muscle and then strapping a parachute to his back and telling him to skate as fast as he can until we say stop would do him wonders. And maybe this offseason, go get him another Russian to kick it with. Still every reason in the world to be excited about his game when he grows up.

I'm sure his confidence is fine.... I don't see the team putting pressure on him at all... he's out there getting his feet wet...and learning...

He'll be ok.

Didn't see the game, I rarely get to watch week games these days, I'm not 25 anymore, I can't stay up til 4am 3 night a week. :p:

So, my question is... Foligno was a healthy scratch?

(if so, so, dayamn!.... +1 to Rolston for holding people accountable)

I must be watching something entirely different because my GBU looks quite opposite to many:

Good:

- the GEO line was hopping from the start. Glad Nate got the pair
- Ehrhoff was fine again
- Rolston playing guys who deserve to play

Bad:

- Miller. Three softies. Goalies, am I wrong in saying you shouldn't ever get beat short side from the point? The Goc goal was stoppable, as was the first one
- Regehr
- the penalty box Pardy. Too many
- Vanek... Yep.

Ugly:

- Myers seems to always make the wrong decision. Every time he decides to do something, I say "why didn't you do (the exact opposite).... Zero confidence
- Stafford continues to ... Not score
- that I was patiently waiting for the inevitable Campbell GTG

Curious - when Soupy scored, which of the following did you scream?

- YES!!!!
- ****!!!
- typical
- of course
- C'MON MILLER
- ****ing Hodgson, couldn't have lost a cleaner draw!

And why is our team so inept at executing offensive odd man rushes, specifically 2-on1's? They enter in a straight line EVERY ****ING TIME. All the opposing dman has to do is stand there with his stick on the ice and he has successfully thwarted the chance. If you inch AT ALL towards the middle, you either force the dman over to your teammate and create a more direct lane to the net, or you force him towards you, at which point you look to pass.

We enter straight across (wrong, squirts know to offset themselves even a smidge), and skate directly forward without lateral movement towards the middle of the ice. It's so ****ing basic and so inept.

Not to mention our inability to hit any breakout passes. Why must we attempt the stretch pass on every play? Believe me, defensemen, I know how frustrating it is to have your wingers fail to get lower on the breakouts to provide the required outlet/support, but when they do miss their proper positioning, and fail to get at the hashes like they are supposed to, PLEASE stop trying to hit them with a forced, long stretch pass and skate it out yourself when you have the room to do so. SO MANY UNNECESSARY ICINGS. Robyn Regehr...

Can drive anyone to insanity. Holy ****.

Miller was really fighting the puck tonight. My first thought when Campbell scored was "here comes the faceoff trolls." I tweeted that exact line and 2 seconds later was Harrington's tweet "Faceoffs mean nothing."

Yes, you're wrong there. You're talking way out by the point where there's nothing like a severe angle and the puck can hit any amount of things on the way in (as this one did). Concentrate on the short side and you're leaving way too much net on the other side, and out from the point it's not at all harder to hit one point from the other.

I didn't love the first goal, and I hated the 2nd goal, but Miller had no fault on the 3rd at all.

You're being sympathetic jflo. Minimal change in direction from whatever he hit, and he was fairly deep relative to where the shot came from.

Those goals eat at me as a defenseman. I am sure you're seeing it from the goalie's eyes, though, just as I am from the dmans
