What’s really amazing is that his average is sitting where it is despite going scoreless in his first 4 playoff games.

Playoff Drai is ridiculous...this guy is build for the playoffs.
He is now 2nd in ppg in playoffs history..to put it in perspective...if he would be scoreless the next 18 games his ppg would still be better than Crosbys.

McDavid his going through his first slump of the season and unfortunately it carried into the first 2 games. I'd shudder at the thought of the team against him when he wakes up.

It's amazing how many guys lose their wheels and mojo when matched up against Danault.
In 2021 he did it to Matthews and then Stone/Pacioretty. (jets and scheifele did it to themselves.)
Last year.
That said a guy like Mcdavid you hope to contain and limit the damage. he is too good to shutdown all series

Messier won the Conn Smyth over Gretzky during their first cup win.
Malkin also won it over Crosby his first cup win.
When an opponents gameplan is to shut down the best player in the world, #2 guy is often given a huge opportunity to shine and that's what Draisaitl is doing.
