Ovie ties it up against NYR.

I’ll take Washington OT win

gosh dang this rangers-caps game is a freaking beauty. incredible atmosphere. rangers power play is so deadly. I can only dream of the day we see this kind of movement by the CBJ

If both Isles and Canes win out their game in hand they will be up 3 and 2 points up on us respectively.

We’re officially back in the race boys

*patiently waits for @CBJWennberg10 to enter into the chat about how the Jackets have absolutely no chance and how we should be pessimistic instead of optimistic*

You can believe or be whatever you want, as can others. I already stated my case. Nothing has changed.

Unless Seth Jones and the other important players walk through the door completely healthy, we have no chance. And that’s not happening in the regular season.

Its raining for our bucket right now, cause every one around us is losing(rangers not). But we just cant lose. Teams has 2 or 3 games in hand, so we need to get those points.

I don't know why anyone's surprised at our number of overtime losses. We're a team that's lost so much skill that we pretty much have to rely on defense and goaltending. As such, we're going to be in a lot of close games. And that means we're going to wind up playing a lot of OTs. And since OT is designed towards skill, which we are lacking in... it is what it is.

I hate to be Debbie Downer but frankly, I am not looking forward to us being in the playoffs. Indeed, if this mediocre, almost talentless team makes the playoffs, it is an indictment of the whole NHL. We are an virtually an AHL team. I tip my hat to the magnificent job Torts has done this year. I salute all the hard work that Captain Nick and the few remaining warriors have done. But I would really rather see Seth and Bjork and Cam take the time to fully heal for next year than have them rushing back prematurely for a long shot attempt to win one playoff road again.

does it really matter?

Teams get hurt.. nothing like getting players back in time to make a run that this team is capable off.

Outside of Cam, I dont think you play Seth or Olly this year, even if they make the playoffs. Fresh off of ankle surgery and not skating for 8+ weeks to jump into playoff hockey is too much of a future risk. There's just no way those ankles will be ready to go....ask Cam who re injured his with a basic movement. Worst case right now is to miss the playoffs by 1 or 2 points and end up with the 14th or 15th pick.

If they are cleared to play by the team dr's I think they will play... No true hockey player wouldn't want to play let alone say suck it to the playoffs this close and this hard of a battle ..

No, the ultimate goal is to win the SC, so it has to be done if needed, if they’re medically cleared, let them play, they will want to for sure

Although I tend to agree that we aren't going far (if any where) it's still one of those things that if one of our goalies get RED HOT that we could still advance.
So this one gets played out (IMO). The trainers won't clear Seth unless he is ready.
I've probably never checked the standings as religiously as I have recently. All the games we have played vs the points we are up, and a couple weeks ago all were playing well, and now no-one fighting is playing well, and 4 teams for 2 spots.

The way Car and the NYI are playing, the CBJ have a fair chance. NYI just aren't that good and Car has no goaltending.

Torts wins the COY if the CBJ get in. 50/50 chance in my eyes
