Oldie is in the building! Leafs got this!
Didn’t play well in gm 4 and they were loose in the warmups.I think they actually play better when they're loose.
Blow them out tonight. Would love nothing more than a huge decisive win where overtime isn’t even a consideration lol
No kidding.
Sunday is the first day if the week.Lucky 777s tonight. Game 7 in the series, for the 7th time (0-6) with this core on the 7th day of the week.
I get it. I was 3 seconds away from completely shi**ing myself earlier today. I want to blame my nerves from the game, but it was McDonald’s that caused the photo finish.I'm a big ball of nerves right now and have a stomach ache lol someone convince me theyre going to win this game tonight
ExactlyLike game 7 vs St Louis in 1993.
You forgotfollow the steps outlined below and you will have the best chance of winning
- Start on time
- Pace yourself and do not overexert yourself -> short shifts and meaningful shifts and STAY THE F OUT OF THE BOX
- do not puck watch -> SKATE SKATE SKATE
- engage in 50-50 puck battles do not back off near the boards
- put pucks on net and do not look for that special shot playing perimeter hockey -> GOAL IS A GOAL, don't need to paint a Picasso
- Marner and Rielly do not f***ing turnover the puck with fancy bullshit LEARN BY NOW
- Matthews, Nylander and Tavares shoot every chance you get
- figure your shit out in the 2nd period -> been outplayed in 2nd periods for 4 games in a row now
- 3rd period if you have a lead do not sit on it and give florida multiple chances to get back in the game
- play as a 5 man unit, play more in the offensive zone, all the lines take every possible shot there is to take, look for rebounds/garbage goals not just rush chances. PLAY FULL 60 MINUTES
JUST GO OUT THERE AND WIN (no ifs and buts or any other crap)
No? Winning the division, winning a round and being one of the final five teams in hockey is not a fantastic season? Those are a lot of steps forward.
I think the only way MM stays is if we get to the Cup Finals. He might think he’s got unfinished business here.. but other than that I think it’s quite clear that he’s gone. I wasn’t surprised to read those reports about him wanting a fresh startAgree. You take the cup champs to a game seven, you’re really just a break or two from going to the next round or beyond. The change I see happening is MM deciding not to come back. Hell, even if we win tonight and beyond, we don’t know his future status. Everyone will have a different viewpoint, but I won’t be embarrassed for this team if they loose tonight (provided it’s not a game 5 repeat).
It's wild to me that people are still pushing the narrative/will think it's embarrassing if we lose a long, hard fought, seven game series to the defending champs.... if they loose tonight (provided it’s not a game 5 repeat).
True, but this Leafs' team does have a lot to prove. No? Winning the division, winning a round and being one of the final five teams in hockey is not a fantastic season? Those are a lot of steps forward.
It's got Nylander written all over it.Everyone talking about Marner and Matthews
Tavares to me is the one that should have a big game. This could his last opportunity to do something for his home town team
I promised to donate $500 to sick kids when they win tonight.
Don't do it for me. Do it for the kids
