I know that they want balance but knies is wasted on the third line.
He should be with M and M.

Exactly, and I've argued all off-season that Domi will be the guy to stick up for guys cause he actually plays with them...

There have been dirty hits already or plays where Reaves should stick up for guys and so far his two fights are other players going with him to stick up for their teammates.
It's fine if people want more physicality, especially when this team has been so soft for so long, but there's a big difference between guys who forecheck and hit everything that moves and a goon. You need that toughness in your top 9. Having those guys only on your 4th line is meaningless. They'll never see the ice come playoff time. I think Treliving did the best he could getting Bert and Domi. Guys who will muck it up and can actually play.

I liked acciari too, but he’s also a huge black hole on the scoreboard.

Reaves isn’t playing 18 minutes a night, and you can’t have a team full of players who play 18 minutes a night anyways.

There’s no reason to think reaves and Perry will never fight, unless Perry decides not to push it too far with reaves watching him.

I get it, Perry is scared to fight reaves. That’s the entire point of having him.

When was the last time Perry fought someone like Reaves, and Reaves fought someone like Perry?

Perry's last fight against a Leaf was Bunting beating him...

Acciari influences the game with a heavy forecheck and he is 10x the player Reaves is offensively, he won't score a lot but he can contribute.

I'd even rather another Gregor (Lafferty) over Reaves... he will help by being a lot faster and getting on the forecheck quicker.

I agree, I like both signings (even though they have been mediocre thus far).

I'd rather another ZAR even on the 4th line over Reaves, but I'd pretty much rather anyone else. Even someone like McMann or another energy guy getting a call up.

You misunderstood me. There's a pretty massive difference between team toughness and adding goons. The Leafs need to get tougher I.e going into the corners, throwing hits, pushing other teams around. Some guy playing 6 minutes a night has almost zero impact. Treliving tried to address the toughness by adding guys like Bertuzzi and Domi. Those 2 are scrappy and are capable top 9 forwards. Ideally, you can find a Wilson or prime Lucic. It is possible to be as tough as Reaves without being a total goon.

Adding some toughness in domi, Bert and reaves should let the other players feel more comfortable playing a bit bigger. Knowing there are other players on the ice to back them up

But how are Bruins still winning? How many seasons in a row people think they are going to plop and they arent going away
Piece of piss being a Bruin I'd imagine.

You know exactly what your role is and what you're supposed to do. I bet it's the easiest team to be a newcomer on.

I like acciari very much, I also wish we had him still.

But he’s like a 15 point player

Dubas will straighten that out

By my calculations PITS is just underperforming and Dubas actually has assembled a real deal contender. People just need to be patient and the 4D Chess game will become apparent in under 8 years for sure. If they fire him before 8 years it's their fault they didn't win.
