That Blues team had character. This team lacks it. It's not the same. I hope it works out the same way, but I have my doubts.
Nonsense. Did Tampa have "character" when it won its first Cup? They were roundly criticized for having no character or back-bone at all. These are just made-up labels that people use to validate a winner or denigrate a loser. Will the Leafs magically have character when they win game 7 of this series?

I am very hopeful that we are going to win. We still have a healthy team with a lot of talent. We just need one of our core 4 to catch fire

But the idea that every year same moment, same type of game reappears. It's just too predictable

I think we win tonight, and it will have nothing to do with the core 4. It will be because Carlo gets a goal from the point, Patches and Kampf gets 1 each
Totally fair!

Carlo & Kampf scoring is about as likely as the Core 4 "catching fire".

If anything gets them a win I agree that it'll be up to the depth to score because the stars seemingly have already checked out of this series.

8pm start time = waiting to be called into a colonoscopy, only to find out the entire shitty experience has been delayed.

I've given up on them. Could see them folding like a cheap suit today. They aren't narrative busters. They are exactly who we thought they were. One final time for 16/34 to let us down again.

I don’t want to get your hopes up and my hopes up or anyone’s hopes up.

But the best and hardest game this team probably ever played in the playoffs was Game 4 in 2023 on the road facing elimination with Woll in net.

I am disappointed that he would take shit from Shanny. Just for a paycheck, you know.
I can't judge him too harshly. I'd like to think I'd have the integrity to stand up to that bullshit if I were in his position, but then I'd need to make payments on my Cayman GT4 RS...
f***, he loves to troll this fanbase eh?
Can you blame him?

It is the exact game we are going to see tonight.

It would have been nice to see Chief experiment a bit more, maybe try to put Laughton on the 2nd line LW, and Holmberg down as 4C with Lorentz and Jarnkrok. 2nd line would be a little bit more responsible in their own end with a touch more offence to it.

And then just shelter the shit out of the 3rd line.

actually would've been a great idea tbh

I don't know how some of you do it.

I wish I could get there the way you guys do.

I just can't.

2021 broke me, but 2025 finished me off completely.
My feelings through these two series, knowing it'll likely be the last of this group if they lose shy of the 3rd round, is "show me."

And they've shown that not a lot has changed. The Ottawa thing was neat, but always more of a warm-up, and 3-2 isn't awful against the cup champions, but time and again, they find the worst way to get into these spots.

If they do lose, they went from 3-1 up in g#3 to effectively being swept...

Only these guys.

Holmberg??????? HOOOOOOOLLLMMMMBERG???????? WTFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!
So 0 goals from that line. Now it is all up to the first line. Good fkn luck !

This was the calmest i could react to this right now.

I expect a better overall team effort than last game, but unfortunately, I think the series ends tonight.

It's hard to beat the defending champs when most of the top players are AWOL (again).

I think the resignation is both evident and warranted. You can only get burned so many f***ing times.

But does anyone have even a sliver of hope? That maybe, just maybe, that ass kicking Wednesday will light a fire under some asses?

Is anyone optimistic? At all? Anyone?

For some weird reason, I have a good feeling about tonight. But maybe I'm just horny.

I appreciate it doesn't look like it at the moment, but the Leafs will win this series. The real question will be what happens if they lose to Carolina in the ECF.

I don't think optimism comes into it. I don't think there is really even a question of the Leafs winning tonight. Florida will lay back and the Leafs will take advantage of it. I think the bigger question will be how Florida comes out in game 7.
