It's easy to make these predictions and when they are wrong just ignore them.

Saying the leafs should be worrying about CAR in the ECF when they have gotten destroyed for 2 straight games is absurd. The team needs to just show they have something left in them. No team besides maybe Oilers vs Kings and Bruins vs Leafs deserve an automatic bye to the next round expectation.

They arent dead yet, but they arent in the clear to the ECF. Let's let game 6 play out, you were predicting the leafs would be winning the cup this year 2-3 games ago and only VGK would be a tough matchup.

VGK got destroyed in 5 and leafs have lost 3 in a row since then.

My feelings through these two series, knowing it'll likely be the last of this group if they lose shy of the 3rd round, is "show me."

And they've shown that not a lot has changed. The Ottawa thing was neat, but always more of a warm-up, and 3-2 isn't awful against the cup champions, but time and again, they find the worst way to get into these spots.

If they do lose, they went from 3-1 up in g#3 to effectively being swept...

Toronto was running circles around Florida, it was like watching a Harlem Globetrotters game. They were literally running the Panthers out of their own building. During the intermission something was said and the Panthers came out and literally gooned, elbowed, ran and cheap shotted themselves back into the game. You could see their tactics drained every gram of air out of the Leafs balloon.

It was the 3-2 goal. Rarely do you have it so thoroughly shoved into your face that no matter what, the NHL WILL help your opponents over the finish line. The NHL threw their entire rulebook in the trash on one play just to get Florida back into that game.

The review was to see if Carlo played the puck with a broken stick. He did, so the play was over. But the NHL decided "Nope, we've decided that's not touching the puck, nor is a few seconds of Woll sitting on it, so the Panthers scored when they managed to shove Woll and Carlo into the net!"

Look at the early games in this series, and in particular, Game 3. We scored by throwing pucks at the net, screening Bob, getting in his grill or banging in a rebound.

It's playoff hockey. Throw pucks at the net. Don't let him see. Why we got away from that is so f***ing frustrating.

really interesting catch. Never crossed my mind. I would be curious what the ruling would be in a situation like this based on the rule book. If they didn't blow the whistle originally but the defending team got away with an illegal play before the attacking team scored. Did anyone on the SN/ESPN panel discuss this?

Why the f*** would he care who we are playing in the final? It's not like he takes that into consideration when predicting the Leafs to always win. We could be playing the Canadian Olympic team, down 4-0 heading into the 3rd and he'd predict a 5-4 Leafs win.
