To be fair, Matthews accidentally ran into someone last game. People used to accuse Sundin of being soft, most of that was blatant Swede hate, he was an absolute warrior. The other teams zeroed in on him relentlessly, he was the only star, and he not only survived, he thrived. Matthews needs to find something inside him, because he simply doesn’t have the jam or internal motor to truly be all he can.

It’s season 8 for him, he’s not gonna be finding anything. He is what he is.

I question whether he really cares about winning a cup at all honestly.

The light went on with Ovechkin, although he was always a fierce competitor. He realized it wasn’t just about cookies and finally won a cup. Watching him this season, waiting for something to spark him, it reminds me of the Florida series. Quit waiting, make it happen, right now it’s just law of averages, talent, rather than desire.

The only positive thing about our line up tonight, ( 3 or 4 dmen who are AHL Caliber and 1 winger who is only AHL and that may be kind) is that TB lost 8 to 1.

Probably not, payback isn't our thing. Standing around pretending like we didn't see anything when a POS like Marchand injures our best young Dman, that's the way we roll. We didn't do anything when it happened, not sure why anyone would think we're going to do anyhthing now.

Anyhow, I do expect a good effort tonight. Boston is the better team right now but home ice makes it a pretty even matchup. I got some free money from OLG so I placed a bet on the Leafs tonight just to make it a bit more interesting.

This team has really sucked this season compared to expectations this season, played maybe 2-3 good games out of 21, would be nice to see them do something positive for change (other than winning gimmick points of course).

f*** the regular season. This team needs to use these games to train for how to play in the playoffs.

When we see that they don’t show up, or play soft, we know they don’t have what it takes to win a cup
