When you only have 1 or 2 nasty players, the refs can send them to the box at will. You need an entire team of guys who will play nasty. The refs will embarrass the league if they are sending an entire team to the box game after game. That's how teams like Boston can get away with it. They all play nasty when they have to.

I believe if you put the Bruins roster in Leaf uniforms they would take a lot more penalties, especially scrumming punching after whistles, it’s just part of the Toronto tax, that prevails amongst the majority of “hockey men” surrounding the league
