Which is why I agreed with you regarding the Contract thing and how I believe it may really be an actual factor (which is why I want this to be done already so we won't be getting this Perimeter-based Bratt)

I remember there was a time where Bratt was parked in front of the net of all things and was willing to get down and dirty (he wasn't always like he is now)....

He'd edgework/protect the puck his way out of any situation last year, or year ago, but it seems different right now...hard to explain, but i think you got me.

That's the problem. Mercer and Rango should be putting up more goals than they are. Bratt should be somehow able to generate more goal plays for himself. Tatar had a good run, but I think he maxed out in that streak, now we are seeing last year luck with Tatar.

Wood/Zetts should have more goals based on their skillset, but they don't.

I mean, we at least got lucky last game with the 4th liners getting some love, but it disappeared tonight vs. Blues. The only guy who kinda looked to continue the good vibe on that was Holtz. Every other forward is dead, even Tatar is dead (and Haula has been dead).

Okay folks, I gotta turn in. See you all tomorrow/Saturday....

Hope this ship goes full steam ahead in the right direction
IF there is one REAL CRITICISM I have of Bratt is that he always tends to focus on PASSING than Shooting when he has a lane.

He needs to fire away on-net more often than he has.

So Kayru skating in front of the net without any resistance was on the goalie ??? I think that was a missed assignment🤔
My man, every single team, will give up high danger chances in every single game. This isn’t hard to understand. It will happen every game in todays league.

Some of them have to be stopped by the goalie. Binnington did a better job at that than Schmid tonight.

It’s pathetic if we get dropped to a team that has major injury issues and the rangers who are an embarrassment
I guess the 3rd place team in the league is pathetic too (Leafs lost to Blues this week) You acting like its just the devils is childish.

Also, Rangers are a top 10 team right now (6th in goal differential). You all are underrating them.

Hot take. The New Jersey Devils 13 game winning streak was actually a bad thing to happen to the team since it’s given a coach that should have been gone in the offseason a longer leash.

I don’t care about those teams I care about this one. Go take a nice look at the standings, what our record has been over the last month and shut up.

Trying to imagine the mentality I'd need to have to watch tonight's game and think that the problem is the coaches.

True. I also understand being frustrated with the result, but the team played a very good game tonight overall. They generated a lot and didn't give up a whole lot. Usually this is a good recipe for winning games. It's progress.

His line choices, who he scratched vs let continue to play, and his choice to use haula on the 6-5 is all I need to see to know he’s an idiot.

Don’t care. They’ve been like this for a month and keep dropping games. Clearly it’s not working so change shit up. Ruff is incapable of making substantial changes, only tiny ones that mean f*** all.

Alright, i have cooled off a little. Time to put this one behind boys and set our sights for the Rags game.

I know y'all been calling at least 10 different games this season 'must win' games. This is the one that truly feels like one.

So Lindy confirms it is 100% for faceoff reasons.
Dumbest reason too. Handcuffing your best player because you’re a god damn dinosaur focused on a meaningless thing with a guy like Hughes that strips the puck and goes the other way anyway. If faceoffs meant anything mcleods line wouldn’t be utterly f***ing useless most nights

It is one, so was tonight. We lose Saturday we drop to 5th. All thanks to our brain dead coach and our hapless gm with his thumb up his ass

You think his seat wouldn't be scorching hot at that point?
Not after Saturday but it’ll be warm…a subpar road trip will turn it scorching hot, especially since by then they’d likely be out of a playoff spot

I'm more angry at this loss than any other in the season. I think it's because they played such a dominating game overall statistically, and in the context of how much of that has happened over the last month, and at home...this is like a new absurd peak of "play well and lose". At some point these guys gotta put their big boy pants on and f***ing score on all these chances. You can't keep scoring dates with the hot chicks only to throw up all over yourself the second they take their clothes off for you. Stop being such f***ing tools and finish the goddamn job off. f*** I'm pissed.
