I'm still trying to get Foppa here on HF after @Foppa offered it to me a decade or so ago, since he didn't post much, and people referred to me as that, but I turned him down because he beat me to it by a bit.
He hasn't posted in 7 years and his handle doesn't even auto generate when you type it anymore.

Man I had a pretty grueling set of interview for the Miami Marlins. Lead Engineer position for their new analytics position and I felt like I absolutely killed it. Over 1000 applicants and I made it to the final 3. But I haven't heard back in 3 weeks now. You'd think after a 2 month interview process they'd at least send me a message that they went with someone else or something FFS. So frustrating.

This is the picture that will get him the sponsorships. He's young enough I think Kool-Aid, Sour Patch Kids, and Pokemon would all be incredible and make for unforgetable pads/helmets.

Anyone collect hockey cards? Have a son on the way next year and I'd like to buy him a box for when he's older. Something that would ideally have younger players that'll be older by the time he could watch.

Hah, thanks man. It's kinda crazy to post it on here, my wife and I are laying in bed watching hockey and she's asking me 'where rosey cheeks is'. I joined this place almost 20 years ago when I was still a kid.
That's what I was thinking I had seen somewhere. But I wouldn't know the first thing on which cards to look for or where. Was hoping someone here had an idea and then like 6-7 years from now when they'll appreciate it I can pull it out of the closet and surprise them.
Yeah, Young Guns is the collection you'll want to get, but more specifically you'll want to be looking for Series 2 rather then Series 1 for either 2023-24 or 2024-25. 23-24 Series 2 has Bedard in it, 2024-25 Series 2 isn't released yet but will almost certainly have Celebrini and Michkov in it.
They release a series 1 and series 2 every year of the Young Guns, so if you're looking just keep an eye on which series it is.

There are a few things I would like explained, but to be honest a lot of the footage over the last few days from all over social media are just showing legally flying commercial drones and in some cases passenger airplanes from a distance.
The fact that the government so far has refused to say what they are, other than non-hostile so far is a bit worrisome. They either legitimately don't know or it's being done by them and it's classified.
pejoratives wondering why the UFOs always have red and green running lights, pejoratives pointing lasers at fedex planes, pejoratives on TV running their mouths and whipping up more trouble
Yeah, lots of misinformation to sift through on Twitter and the like (per usual), but there's been more than enough evidence to suggest that there's something weird going on. My money is on some new drone technology being tested by military contractors and/or our own, but the scale and virtually zero communication from the federal government raises some eyebrows for sure.
