Haven’t read the whole thread but there is some confusion as to what happens at the entry draft. Maybe someone else has explained it earlier.

The announcement and the actual choice are different events. The choice of any given team is entered into the system very soon after the previous pick has been announced. Everybody on the floor knows who it is - including any media with access - cause it appears on the app.

This gives the next team a few more minutes to decide their selection.

Then, that announcement is made a few minutes later, which is when fans, players, and media who don’t have direct access learn who the pick is.

Marek got canned for doing something everyone in his position did. But we have betting now so it became a firable offense. I thought he was ok. Not my favourite. Better than Wysh.

I liked him too. Really, it's all in the eyes and ears of the beholder.

One poster above thinks he's pompous. But I think hes an extreme hockey nerd that could probably destroy most people on hockey related trivia but he also comes off as kind and courteous to me, and seems relatively neutral with his coverage.

Although different personalities, I feel like marek could go toe to toe with Liam Mcguire for a hockey history showdown.

Thought it was a good listen. Seems like Burke will be a recurring guest each Friday which could be great. Gotta say I really enjoy listening to him a lot more away from Friedman. Also seems like he just has a complete different vibe/a bit more laid back than when he was at Sportsnet.

I've always enjoyed Jeffs show and mostly his interviews. I primarily use them for background noise and driving home from work but unfortunately, his new time slot doesnt work well with my drive home.

Could do without Burke every week. Once a month or so would be more ideal IMO.

His "hipster" (as he self describes them) conversations and random facts that goes on and on about can get old though. lol

Hes mentioned Elliot recently. Somebody tweeted to him about 32 Thoughts not being the same anymore and he said something along the lines of "you should listen they do a great show".

Just speculation but I highly doubt that was a shot at Elliot.

I listened to a couple of episodes, he (Marek) mentioned them having some kind of a party to celebrate getting the show going and enjoying seeing Friedman there so I doubt there's any bad blood between them.
