Heading to NY/NJ for the NHL draft from Milwaukee WI...was hoping to get some of the team executives at their hotels when they head to the draft/around town.
I'm trying to get my Stanley Cup replica signed by Conn Smythe winners. I mainly need Steve Yzerman (Lightning) and Bob Gainey (Dallas). Does anyone happen to know where they're staying I'm having no luck finding them.
Other guys I need that I'm hoping to meet are Al MacInnis and Joe Sakic
Thanks in advance
Josh
Anyone ever been to Lake George?
Never been, but looking to rent a lakefront home for a long weekend in August. 10-12 people.
Any tips or suggestions are welcome, feel free to PM
forget the Empire State Building, it's a dump!
The place to be is the top of Rockefeller Plaza
Go to the Empire State Building. You go for the view and that's the best view.
Hi there,
I'm visiting New York for the first time in September. I will arrive September 7th and will stay for 4-5 days.
So are there some top tips for stuff that I have to visit? I'm a big sports fan so MSG and Yankee Stadium are a must, then of course the obvious stuff like Empire State or Lady Liberty.
Also I'm looking for some nice bars in the evening.
I'm thankful for every tip

Best ferry is probably Governor's Island. Right next to the Staten Island Ferry and Governor's Island has great views. You can take another ferry to Brooklyn Bridge Park from there and it's all free.
Was in NYC for 1/2 day. I love NYC. Any very large metropolitian city for that matter. Went to Katzs. I love this place. Ordered a pastrami. Tasted like butter. Probably the fat but excellent quality. Also pricey but Im sure less than than the places located in midtown. You cant get this quality outside of NYC as far as I know. Maybe Ill try the other delis (Carnegie, 2nd ave) but I really like Katzs. Tipped the guy who was carving the pastrami.
Egress out of the city to the Holland tunnel was joke. Parking lot. 30min+ to go from Katzs to the tunnel (took Broome). Love driving Manhatten as long as I dont do it on a regular basis. Fun and challenging. Reminds me of downtown Chicago.
Katz is good but it's a madhouse. I prefer the 2nd ave deli just because it is so much quieter and less people.
I'm going to NYC July 25-28.
What are some really cool things to do besides all the touristy stuff that everyone knows about anyways? I know that's pretty broad but I'd take any suggestions. Thanks!
