What's closer to Penn Station by walking, Central Park or Rockefeller Center?
Rockefeller Center, but they're extremely close.
Extremely close as in they're both close to Penn, or close as in they're almost the same distance?
MSG is about 15 blocks from Rockefeller Center. Rockefeller Center is about 10 blocks from Central Park.
Sorry for the confusion.
What's closer to Penn Station by walking, Central Park or Rockefeller Center?
Central Park.
Rockefeller Center starts at 48th and 6th. Central Park begins on 59th street. It may depend on where exactly you're walking to but I'd say its a quicker walk to can nearly any part of Rockefeller center than Central Park.
Hi everybody, my first post here and it´s all questions. I´m traveling to NY in a couple of weeks and I´ve already bought tickets to the NYI-NYR game on thursday 7th feb.
It´s going to be my first time at MSG so I´m pretty excited. I´m traveling with a friend and we´ve got tickets in section 226.
I was wondering how soon before the game should we come to MSG?
And are there any cool (sports)bars near MSG where to hang out after the game?
and if there are nice hangouts, are they team jersey friendly, or is that a no-go in local bars?
Also are the fan apparel shops open at MSG after the game?
Any other tips for a MSG first timer are very much appreciated.
Can´t wait.![]()

Have anyone ever heard of/stayed at the Hotel Mela (W44th between 6th and 7th)? There was a great deal on expedia so i grabbed a room for the weekend.
Hi all.
I'm taking my 18 y/o niece to the Museum of Natural History today and afterwards I want to take her to dinner somewhere we can watch the game - she's underage, so a place like The Flying Puck is out of the question. is Stout my best option?
