Under a month until Cyberpunk 2077.

It's coming out on PS5 as well, so was tempted to wait until I get that console to play it, but not sure. Still have it preordered for PS4.

Also ... anyone still play Total War — Emperor Edition? Definitely my favorite Total War game. Love me some war dogs — like a knife through butter against barbarians — and ballistas with explosive rounds.

I've never played Rome II but i'm all about Rome: Total War (the first one). Amazing game even if its a little arcadey, and some of the best music ever. Still play it form time to time.

I've been playing Ghost of Tsushima, the combat gameplay is so good and smooth. Too bad the AI ruins it a bit when all you need to do is hide, and the enemy just forgets all about you until you reengage lol.

The graphics (while not quite as good as very early trailers showed) are breathtaking.

Don’t know if anyone finds these interesting, but I barely made it to the playoffs, finishing with 92 points. Boston knocked me out 4-1 in the first round. Drafted Stutzle (7th) and Gunler (11th) with existing picks. Traded Stutzle and Zegras for Lafreniere; traded Podkolzin (signed in KHL for three seasons), Chytil and Gunler for Byfield.

Traded a few mediocre prospects and a few sixth rounders to draft Barron (I think) at 15th.

No major FA moves. New lines (Lafreniere became a center over the course of the previous season):

Laine - Laf - Ehlers
Gaudreau - Monahan - Kakko
Meier - Zib - Buch
Lemieux - Nieves - Gauthier

Dahlin - Hamilton
Slavin - Makar

This blows. I made the fatal mistake of getting an XBOX over a PS4 and there are no more good RPGs to play. I’m currently slogging through AC Odyssey, which has the same issues as all the other AC games. Big, beautiful world that has next to no depth and has all but completely removed the stealth elements.

I played AC Odyssey a bit too. Very nicely polished and the setting is so cool but yes eventually got bored of it.
I have no interest in the new AC though, Viking setting doesn't get me excited at all.

Yep, the settings usually are really attractive to me, and the games are beautiful. But the side content is just generic fetch quests. The NPCs are far too lifeless for a game made in 2019. The RPG mechanics are very basic and they’re really just action games at this point. This last point sticks out extra for me this go-around, because the last game I played was Divinity Original Sin 2, which was an incredibly deep game.

Don’t even get me started on this stupid new mercenary system. I can’t go 5 mins without being tracked by a new one.

This is going to ruffle some feathers, but to me, the Assassins Creed series is to video games what Marvel movies are to cinema and Peaky Blinders is to TV. Lots of flash, next to no substance. Good to play when I don’t need to think about a whole lot. The visuals are the reason I’ve played like 4 AC games, which is probably 3 more than I needed to.

I was going to mention it last night. I read the producer blog about the world they’re building and watched the trailer a couple of times and I’m very pumped for that game.
