OT: The All-Purpose Video Game Thread: Part II

There's been a ton of vanilla WoW private servers going strong for years. I've been looking forward to classic and haven't been this excited for a game since I was a teenager. Only 1.5 hrs to go!

I also played FFXI, too much lol, years ago. I tried Nasomi but it's got alot of annoying 'features'. You should try Eden, it's much better.

What makes Eden better? Im interested

I knew I was f***ed for Classic WoW when I realized I wouldn't get home until 6:45. 3 hour queue to get on my server.

Nasomi is run by one guy. Eden has an entire team working on their server. Problems that arise get fixed asap on Eden, Nasomi not so much. Nasomi also has a bunch of custom stuff like NM's walking around areas because he can't get BCNM's working properly. He's also, kind of a dick lol.

I'm not sure if he did the SNES versions.

I'm fairly certain he did the Genesis ratings, along with a former colleague of mine, from NHL 95 until NHL 97.

Does Classic WoW have a good chance of being big long term?

Probably not but if it’s successful enough (which it seems to be already) they may do the same for BC and Wrath.

Played about 6 drop ins tonight in NHL 20 3v3 chel..

Feels pretty much like 19. The opposition intercepts **** everything though. Glitch shots have been suppressed big time.

Some new animations.. Nothing extreme.

I’m happy that let everyone know the same eye brow options available in 2013 haven’t changed. Thanks EA. But you did give us masks this year!

APES are the exception not the rule. These guys are mega tryhard no lifers and are all very good at the game from years of private servers.

The reality is though that end game Vanilla content was never really hard, we just all sucked back then.

I mean, were you really expecting anything else? I'm glad they added more juice to the franchise mode, but be a pro is basically the same and your teammates are all braindead, EASHL is a total crapshoot with how your computer AI will help/hurt you, and the current roster updates are laughably bad. They didn't even have Kakko on the Rangers when the preview dropped. I can at least understand not having Fox, Kravtsov, Rykov, and Shesty because of those NCAA/KHL issues...but Kakko? C'mon.

True, but even then, their Onyxia run ended up being nothing like their private server runs, and they still did it in two pulls.

I think he also doesn't want to balance some classes because of personal opinion or so I read. I started a char on Nasomi but gave up after a while. So hard to make gil. I forgot how hard it was. Oh....no gardening.

I honestly don't know. I strictly play 3V3 club chel.

I haven't played any nhl games since 2015. I mainly play for Be-a-Gm mode. It was so easy to have a firesale and rebuild your team within one summer and win the Cup the next season. Players signed or asked for ridiculously unreasonable money. The be-a-pro was kind of stupid too, I would have a multiple game goal streak and have one bad game and get demoted to the ahl. I did enjoy purposely making my player say all the wrong things in interviews and I would cherry pick all the time as well. I always called for the puck in such obvious plays and I rarely ever passed because the computer was so stupid. I also liked to request trades all the time. Ex- Have a legitimate breakaway opportunity and the computer will wait instead for a teammate instead of hauling ass -_-. What is this I hear about NHL 20 and bathroom renovations...

Regardless how the reviews are and whatnot, I'm getting the game on Black Friday. I got a new Ps4 recently and need games to play on it. I'm playing Spider-man now, and spend more time doing random stuff than the actual storyline.

If you have the PS online subscription (PS Plus), there's currently a few free games for download.

Batman Arkham Knight is one. Worth it.

I'm messing around with Sniper Elite 4. It's a 3rd person shooter. It's fine - not great but free so why not.
