Member when we thought we were going to get Norris McDonagh since he'd be with Shattenkirk and not Girardi?
I 'member.
What a waste.
i don't really understand this post. McDonagh has been great, Shattenkirk not.

McDonagh's been struggling with the puck in the defensive zone.
If McDonagh has been struggling there i'd like to know what word we'd use to describe Shatty then
Sorry, I assumed most people wouldn't make sweeping declarations over a four game sample size
We have years of data that show McDonagh - Shattenkirk should be a pairing, and Staal-Holden should never be on the top-pair.
What, you mean period-by-period use of corsi isn’t a good idea? Never would have guessed that one (this isn’t meant to be sass thrown at you)Four games? Sweeping generalizations occur after even one period.
****, @silverfish , bottom 5 in SAT% xG% and GF%? ****ing yikes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, @silverfish , but I think the point is that McDonagh-Shattenkirk has already been abandoned.
6 games is a small sample size, but it's getting bigger. Who are our next four? Pens, Isles, Predators, Sharks? Even if we somehow miraculously go 2-2 in this stretch, this is a 3-7 team.

This isn't good.
If there's anything to cause slight optimism, it's that our 5v5 xGF is 4th in the league, but our actual GF is 25th. The goals should start coming. But, if you don't have the talent to actual finish the chances, well, then that's an issue.
Well said. The Rangers aren't a .200 point percentage team obviously, how many are, even the worst in the league? but unless they go on a run starting Tuesday, it might be too late to get back into the playoff race. I know everyone will point to 13-14, but the division wasn't as strong and IMO the Rangers aren't nearly as good as they were then either.6 games is a small sample size, but it's getting bigger.
