Byram for MPettersson as principles in a deal would be interesting to me. They lose some dynamism but gain in their own zone.

They kind of have to. Carlson would have been smarter though to push 2 more years and then rebuild.

quite a few of us have been banging the drum for a Seattle deal. Looking at that trade, I think we could dangle just Norris, Tuch signing rights, 20oa, and Levi and get Wright, Evans, and #7
Seattle just TRADED a 1st and a 2nd, they think they are going to try to be good NOW. that is hilarious, they will 1000% bite on a Norris deal.


and keep the Byram powder dry for another big splash

In a rising cap world.....4M cap hit is fine for a guy like Dickinson, IMO. Bottom 6 guy that's great defensively, an ace PKer and can play center or wing.

I'm not sure how he holds up over 5 years though. That term is the ooooof part

In all seriousness, I’d try a Tuch sign and trade plus Ryan Johnson for Wright. Seems off in value but maybe that’s a scenario Botterill would show some interest.

what does Vancouver add on top of MP that makes that deal though? I'm not interested in Chytil with the concussion stuff. I like Raty but that would still be a lowball offer. I doubt they would do MP + Rossi + Raty...

Not sure. Might not be something on the ice, could be picks/futures for use in other deals? Not sure.
