i mean he's 23 years old signed long termed at just over 7.5m. he's huge and doesn't cheat the game.I would rather gamble on some youth than overpay the premium that knies and Robertson would cost. Kemmel for example could be gotten cheaper. Player like that imo. If we hit we hit big. Even a player like Wright, could be a 60 point center with the Sabres.
We already have a young roster so let's roll with it. If our young guys are good, we would be very very good. If not, oh well. 40 points each from Helenius, a Ostlund, Kulich should be the expectation imo.
Why would we even entertain trading #4 + for knies, a winger that's hit 60 points once?
I mean the rumour-mill is saying he's looking at hellebuck / Bob.... but yeah maybe he should just flat out tell everyone he's looking into that so when it falls through upl and lyon can have a new boost of confidenceThe man said again today that they’re looking to run the goalies back and now they’re giving term and dollars to a 60 year old Bobrovsky?
I swear it will be round 2 of next year’s playoffs and people still won’t believe they’re just running the goalies back.
Who were Knies' most common linemates, any idea?
If I had to guess what makes sense with what Toronto would want,Poster said "20, Kulich, Mrtka, McLeod"
Duane said "Half right".....which means that two of those pieces are part of the rumored deal. I gotta think that means 20 and Kulich OR McLeod.
Of course, that also implies "Half wrong".....which implies that it is indeed a 4 piece deal. And if we're not including 4 OA........it's gotta include Ostlund or Helenius.
If Toronto is demanding that much......jesus, just go get Robo.
From what I've heard In June 2017, Chayka invited Shane Doan to breakfast at First Watch in Scottsdale. Doan assumed the young GM wanted the captain's input and advice moving forward into the offseason. Instead, eight minutes into the meeting, Doan was told he was no longer wanted.I wonder why Chayka is shopping those 2

Looks like Jarmo isn't short on options.
If he was playing with those two -- how is Knies' xGA/xGF difference so low.....and the other two players aren't?Matthews and nylander
I looked it up, Looks like he spent more time with Tavares and then random other wing (usually domi or maccelli)If he was playing with those two -- how is Knies' xGA/xGF difference so low.....and the other two players aren't?
I've always been of the opinion that xGA/xGF are worthless on a game-by-game basis. I'm starting to wonder if they're just worthless, full stop.
Looks like Jarmo isn't short on options.
So you're thinking 4 and Trocheck for 5? Gotta think we'd need to kick something else decent-ish.I'm betting it's #4 going to NYR and #5 coming back.
Add Krebs and we get CuylleI'm betting it's #4 going to NYR and #5 coming back.

Eh. It depends on what would be coming back. I don’t have much interest in trading back unless it’s really worth it. If Winnipeg was offering pick 8 and 24 for pick 4, no thanks. If it was Hellebuyck and 8 for 4 and UPL and another somewhat minor addition then yes.I don't mind a bidding war for #4 that involves a swap with another top 8 pick.
Trying to figure out who makes sense from Calgary. Rasmus Andersson would be a good replacement for Byram, but not for 4, and he’s too valuable to just swap. I dunno, I’m struggling with this one.
Shows how much I paid attention to Calgary this year. Derp.Andersson is a UFA from Vegas
