The 2024-2025 Roster Thread

Until this recent stretch Reimer wasn't doing great either.

Weirdly, in his worst four starts they are 2-0-2.

So am I. Put competent changes in the d core in front of him, & I think he returns to a vezina lite level goalie & gains back his confidence again
As always, goalies are voodoo ... just need to have a plan B if it goes south. I truly hope that they're looking at the coaching staff this offseason. I'm fine with Lindy being the head guy, but they need excellent, energetic assistants.

The easiest thing to do with goalies is get a cognitive performance coach. It's all mental, and when you see a goalie take a downswing like UPL, it's a mental downswing that manifests as physically letting in soft goals.

I'd guess his confidence is poor right now.

How about Power and Quinn for Cuylle and Schneider?

Similar to the Cozens deal, Rangers would be getting a few high ceiling/low floor guys, we’d get a few high floor/low ceiling guys.

Both teams look better on paper after the trade imo.

Peterka strikes me as one of those players that’s a high-end complementary piece that puts an otherwise-well-built team over the top. It’s okay to hang onto that player as long as you don’t try to make him a cornerstone. It’s also okay to let him go if the price is right.
This is why I'd rather give him a bridge to see how others develop

Rangers fans are despising Schneider right now for the most part, especially his defensive play....and some fancy stats back that eye test up. So basically swapping Power for Schneider fixes our handedness, gets us a touch tougher....but doesn't actually improve our defensive play, especially 5v5...and downgrades our 5v5 offense.

Quinn for Cuylle is exactly what you say -- swapping ceiling for floor.

Strikes me as a trade for trade's sake while hoping we come out on the better end. I gotta think we'd get better value for Power/Quinn elsewhere.

More like a reinhart that everyone Said the same about that wasnt that top center

Sabres Will be a playoff team next season easy . remember my post here. They have to good players to miss NeXT season . Should not be hard to get some final piece into place this draft to improve more Also

Peterka Kulich Thompson
Benson McLeod Quinn
Zucker Norris Tuch
Greenway Krebs Kozak
Malenstyn, Lafferty

Samuelsson Dahlin
Power Docker
Byram Clifton

That looks more like 10th in the conference than a playoff team.

So, what you’re saying is they will score goals and give up a ton of goals, just like what we have watched this season.

Kevyn?

Benson too. He is only 19. Would not trade him away. Would never get full value.
The way they kind of forced the cozens trade I'm slightly afraid they could ship Benson off for some mediocre 27 year old under
the idea of getting older, but they can't be that dumb right?

Random thought but with Norris and Bryam I remember them saying they had their eyes on those guys for a while.

Don't remember hearing that about McLeod, does anyone remember one way or another? I'm wondering if some decisions were more scout driven and others more stat

It's crazy people are still saying this after this board went through this same exact song and dance with Dahlin. I'm not paying Byram 8-9 million a year long term which is exactly what his number projects to be in a rising cap.

I never said that with Dahlin. Dahlin showed a ton of promise. Power plays like a 3rd line scoring winger. That's not what we need on the blueline.
