Cale Makar scores 30 goals in a season, first since Mike Green

Man, can the boards ever stop with "but my guy is better", both players are amazing and probably both HOF material. Congrats to Makar on 30 goals, quite the feat
Yeah but the bottom line is if we take contracts in consideration, David Savard is more valuable to the Montreal Canadiens.

In all seriousness Makar is my favorite player to watch in the league.

I think it's clear there's only one way to end this Makar and Hughes debate, and that's for the Canucks to trade Hughes to Colorado for Girard so that we can finally find out who's better on equal footing. Here's why this proposal works, Girard can do spins real quick, he sometimes throws hits that you're surprised by, and he fights fellow vertically challenged players. I think this is the only thing that makes sense.

He doesn't brush his mustache. That's important.

I like this idea, but it might backfire when Hughes and Makar start arguing about who should have the puck more. They might literally drop the gloves in practice and fight over it

I like to think that most of the Avs fans who troll Quinn Hughes just live in Canada and are pumping Makar as much as possible. I live in Colorado and wish the Canadian teams would stop drafting Amercan born superstar players like Quinn, Lane Hudson, and Auston Matthews (even the Tkachuk brothers).

I feel so lucky to get to watch Makar every night. I love when I get to watch Quinn every now and again. Both are unbelievable defenseman who make hockey the best sport to watch, in my opinion.

Most exciting player in the league in my eyes

actually tied with McDavid

If I’m taking a Smurf on my team I want the one that fights and hits

The saddest thing about this is that if he wasn't hurt so much the last couple season he'd be hitting his 3rd 30 goal season in a row right now.
Yeah, but would scoring 30 goals 3 season in a row finally put an end to Makar vs Hughes debate as to who’s better?

Should be a fun playoffs this year. Your top guns looks ready to go. Time for the second cup
I hope so. It’s certainly gonna be a tough road. West is just a ridiculously tough conference. Have to go through likes of Dallas, Vegas, Jets, Kings, Oilers etc… even the Blues look like they might be a hand full
