He looks like a blast at parties. He doesn’t need a better partner, he needs to be far from Marty Wilford.

Then a full rebuild if cant get 2 players inConservatively, that comes in around $6 million over the cap. You can almost get there if you swap Peterka in for Benson in the Tkachuk trade. The D corps is going to be sketchy though.
Agreed. Quite the histrionic take over a depth signingIf Jacob Bryson is TRULY blocking Ryan Johnson -- our front office/coaching staff really are complete and utter idiots............or Johnson ain't it.
Chad is way over-reacting here. Signing Bryson to a 1 year, $900k deal is basically nothing. If Johnson gets the chance and proves he belongs......waiving Bryson (or JBD) is how that roster spot happens.
It's not the depth signing per se, at least to me. It's the image that they're going to keep rolling out what they have.Agreed. Quite the histrionic take over a depth signing
#FreeJohnson
Given that the trade route is the best option for them to upgrade the roster, this isn't the worst position to be in.Seems like we're all in on running it back next season.
Only UFA with an expiring contract is Reimer.
The only hole on the roster compared to this season is Joki's old spot. I expect Adams will sign a Lyubushkin/Clifton/Eric Johnson type UFA and expect them to play top 4 minutes. Or they just promote RJ.
Its not the depth signing that is the issue its what it represents. We also thought Bryson would be AHL depth this year and he gets 50-60 games.Agreed. Quite the histrionic take over a depth signing
He didn’t say it was a good idea - he said it’s what he expects Adams to do since it’s his literal method of operating for his entire management career.Given that the trade route is the best option for them to upgrade the roster, this isn't the worst position to be in.
Especially given how many of the pending RFAs could be attractive trade pieces this offseason.

The UFA market is not the best place to look for a top 4 RHD to pair with Owen Power.
There are not a lot of great options and good luck getting a UFA with options to sign here.
Here is how bad the RHD Power partner UFA market is:

Henri Jokiharju & Erik Johnson may be the 2nd & 3rd best options behind Dante Fabbro.
