We can get EP40 without giving up Benson or Kulich. And Cozens or Peterka wouldn't be the centerpiece. Power could be.

Yep, at that point too. Preference would be Quinn and Rosen and one of the PMD's.

I always thought cozens tries to play too much of a skill game. I don't really see him as a power play guy.

I think playing wing and a simpler North south game with some sandpaper would do him well. For me he's more evander Kane than tage he just hasn't figured it out yet. That being said I think he's still a guy who I would want on the sabres. If van wants him for EP great but if they don't I certainly haven't given up on him.

Came over to read some stuff... interesting stuff thank you. Curious and honest what is the appeal of bringing in pettersson - genuinely asking

I assume its talent plus established top six center ..

And who do you see him playing with and clicking with. Do you have any wingers that play like centermen in the o zone

Thompson-Cozens as a 1-2 is not getting it done at center so the idea would be Pettersson-Thompson as the 1-2, with perhaps Cozens being part of the deal OR moving to RW that he seems like his game lately is better suited to. In an ideal world, he's the guy I would like to see as F1 playing opposite EP if he were to be acquired from Vancouver. Cozens has regressed in the middle considerably.

That's been my offer for a while now - gives Vancouver a solution to their PMD issues on their 2nd pair, takes some of the load off of Hughes, and also frees up a bunch of cap space if it is essentially one for the other.

Do you think Vancouver want Byrum and can extend him ?
What Sabres forwards do you feel would appeal to Alvinn/Tochett ? Greenway (on final year), Cozens, others ?

It has been reported that they want to bring back a center in a deal, making it difficult to figure out who they would replace Pettersson with, at least temporarily.

I can't help but believe that Terry is probably hearing that fans are calling him cheap and he's yelling at Adams to "do one of those Tweety things and claim you have all the money you need to make any deal you want.... and maybe remind everyone how I spent my own money to repair the leaky roof again!".

And Adams responds, "yes boss, right away!"

Vlasic, Korchinski, Nazar, Murphy, Dickinson, Foligno, Boisvert, Moore. They've got pieces.
