If Chad D is to be believed here......Pegula is OKing an EP40 deal.

I understand the stupidity of blowing prospect pool on short term players that might help make the playoffs but never be as cup contender.

EP is right age, under contract, and cant block a trade.

If you add re vancouver and you trade EP...

You would trade him to an eastern team

Teans Within the east has the ability to return decent pieces..buffalo is one ok f only a few without getting into crazy/ unlikely deals
Our prospect pool is chock full of middle of the lineup maybes. Not one bonafide top line superstar. We are not even close to being a cup contender much less a perrenial playoff team. Until this team wins and management commits all resources to doing so like trading some of the prospects with no viable place on the team, they will continue to be a place where players underachieve and wait to be able to move on to a winning organization.

pundits have to stop doing this to us. Make the damn trade already.
people have to make a living, this is just analysis of how a possible deal could work. not a rumor. Would like to read it if anyone can share.

on your point, I agree, Friedman has ulterior motives usually like to use the Sabres to drive prices up. Maybe he has a reason for hold a grudge...

In the end it makes 0 sense for Van to trade EP40. Zero nada zilch. I question whether this is simply media carrying water for management to try and motivate him. Or….his injury can be one that lingers and affects his ability to be a top line guy. If he is available I tread cautiously but with purpose and get it done.

Kulich has been one the best 3 forwards the last 10 days and has very good upside.

I would be willing to let Peterka go, Greenway as well.
I agree, I wouldn't want to trade Kulich, he has very interesting tools, even if he doesn't end up being a top 6 C for us. The problem is that it seems like they want to return the center as a core part.

Adams better not be sticking on letting Cozens go the other way.

I love what I see from Kulich, I am not sure I would trade him in a package for Pettersson. It would be tough to let him go.

Kulich is the exact type of player this team needs. He is always around the net and in shooting position.

Believe it or not there is a demand for Cozens around the league. Probably a few GMs thinking if they can get him out of Buffalo he turns it around.

I think we can find a compromise, Kulich will still be useful to us.

Vancouver is most likely wanting one of our top prospects/young players as part of a deal. With that said, which are you willing to give up, Benson or Kulich?

I’d be utterly shocked if Cozens or Peterka as the center piece of a trade package gets the job done right now.

Peterka makes sense because the Canucks seem to be looking at Necas and I think I read yesterday that even Kotkaniemi. I'm not saying Peterka is a carbon copy of Necas, but his production is good in terms of points and continues to improve each season. Young winger with 60+ point potential. I wonder how the Canucks look at Power or Byram.

I think there are a lot of ways to grab EP without Kulich/Benson involvement. With his recent play I think Kulich has joined Benson in the "any trade involving this player will likely not work out for us in the long term and bring us only tears and the gnashing of teeth" club.
