JT Miller likely to be the one traded and not EP Rasmus Andersson not up for trade.
Yeah, I don't really believe we can get Pettersson anymore and there's no one else close to him for us, that's frustrating. So we'll have to try other options, but they're either not as good or have no-trade clauses. Plan B is getting one of Zegras, Pinto, McTavish, Hayton and hope you can develop him into a consistent top 6 C.

Well, first of all, I see Byram playing on the RD all the time, and not Dahlin, take a closer look at the games, Byram is on the RD much more often than on the LD. Secondly, they are also not ideal in a pair, I see a lot of these small mistakes when they get confused about who should be on the RD, and sometimes both are on the LD, and the opponent's forward easily finds free space because of this.

I don't see the point in three PMDs, this is excessive, we need more defensive right-handed defenders and a top 6 C and other positions . So trading one of Byram/Power makes a lot of sense for me.

But even if Dahlin is more comfortable playing on RD and he wants it. Find him a more defensive partner, as you said, a vet maybe. Gavrikov, M. Pettersson and etc. Although Ruff literally said at the beginning of the season that he needs two RDs in the top 4. And in general, if you look at other teams, most of them have a balanced defense of PMDs and defensive guys and three right-handers and three left-handers.
I had "heard" Byrum does not really like to play the right side. That may go along way in contributing to him NOT extending here and being flipped.

I have no idea if he likes to play there or not, but he mostly plays there, if you watch the games carefully, you can see how Dahlin is most often on the LD, especially in defense, sometimes they switch places in attack or can be in defense, depending on the situation, but mostly Byram plays RD. Plus rumors that Byram wants the role of 1D and time PP1. So I will not be surprised if Byram is no longer on the team next season. And in principle, I would prefer to add several top 4 defensive defenders instead of one PMD. This team lacks such defenders, especially right-handed ones.

Yes, I have eyes, why pivot off my point?

I don't understand what this has to do with it, it's just that many people think that Dahlin plays RD in this pair. Oh well, another misunderstanding.
My point was if a player does not like his usage he is not likely going to extend here. Two different points then, fair enough.

ps I see you added some very good points to your post (PP1 time, etc) as well. So I broke my own wait 5 minutes before you reply rule.

Then it's a little strange that Ruff won't put Dahlin to play more RD if he's comfortable there and Byram isn't so comfortable. There are some questions about that.
