Well, it's hard for me to say, I don't know much about this player. It's just not clear who else from Detroit they're looking at. We don't need all these overpaid vets with bad contracts. Larkin, Seider, Raymond and Edvinsson are probably unavailable. All these questionable fourth liners in Veleno and Berggren seem unnecessary. I don't know what Karmanos is looking at. Maybe they're looking at Kasper or Fischer, who knows. It seems they valued Kasper very highly in the draft.
Chad D insinuated it could be a minor deal like Fischer for Kubel fwiw.

Does Kaspar have any top 6F potential still ? Seems more like Krebs right now.

Yeap, something minor is possible. Maybe Rasmussen for Krebs or NAK/Lafferty for Fischer.

Well I think he was projected as a 2C with good defense in the draft, I think Adams would have taken Kasper if Detroit hadn't taken him. I don't know why he's playing as a 4C in Detroit with marginal players, it doesn't look good for his development. Krebs is three years older than Kasper, by the way.

Pettersson is a proven top 6 C who scores a lot of points and plays responsible hockey, that's enough for me.
fair enough maybe its the losing streak that gotten me so hot and bothered, pettersson is a good player, obviously would be happy with either of them. but if i had my choice i'd choose JT.

also guys don't worry !!!! just as we become last in the league now this team has no pressure !!! we're gonna start playing good now and miss the playoffs by 2-8 points.

Amazing how all of Adams big acquisitions have worked their way down the roster.

Not saying McLeod is bad but its true.
Well, Zucker has been very solid, Byram is playing in the first pair with Rasmus. McLeod has become cold compared to the beginning of the season, but their third line has also collapsed due to Greenway's injuries, plus Kulich is showing himself well in the center.

I meant this off season acquisitions not all of them in total.

I would think next year Rosen takes a roster spot and Zucker is gone unless Adams makes some trades.

The team will get younger next year. Then Helenius and Ostlund the year after that. Definitely needs to make trades to improve the defense.

Adams left a major hole on defense with his drafting.

Samuelsson and Aube Kubel for who?

Samuelson still has decent to good value, any GM would think they can mould him and turn him out better since hes still young. He's still got more in him hes just a walking ad for a band-aid brand. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes somewhere else becomes a true top 4 shutdown d-man only limited due to injuries.

Last two games looked much more like the team we expected this season and what we saw in Oct and Nov (even the first few games of the streak).

That streak was truly some cursed shit. Dahlin missing out certainly factored in majorly, but it was really just some cosmic fu**ery that defies explanation.

It's a shame that the hole got dug this deep, going to be near impossible to escape.

First-line, first PP Jason Zucker says hello...

There are chances, Ottawa Ullmark is injured, but we have a difficult schedule, the trip to the West will be very important in terms of scoring points.

Gotta think Kozak gets a real shot at a real bottom 6 role rather than bringing in guys like NAK. I have wahlberg ahead of ostlund right now but it’s close but you gotta think about a spot for him. I think all 3 (wahlberg helenius Ostlund) are prioritized in future plans ahead of rosen but that’s my gut feeling. Sucks for Rosen because he’s been very good in the AHL since he’s got there, but it’s impossible to fit all of those guys. I’m also in the camp to resigning Zucker for a couple of years. I think greenway walks because those players are valued across the league and someone will overpay, but if you can get Zucker back for the 5-6 for a couple of years I would be all over it. Gotta think Peterka and Quinn & Levi also won’t get as much in Offseason as we all assumed they would so maybe they have a bit more wiggle room even with the buyout penalty. Idk that’s how I’d approach it anyways. God only knows how pegula will

Don’t wanna say how I know and things can always change but I have heard Greenway is one foot out the door and will likely be exploring free agency.

Can’t blame him - his skillset is valued and it’s his last big pay day. He will get overpaid by somebody.

Well, that's expected, we need to find a player similar to him, preferably now, we lack his physical and defensive skills.

The roster is currently constructed to win 5-2. They aren't capable of grinding out 3-2 wins where we shut down the third period.
