Jtm for peterka and byram
I just realized I posted this in the Buffalo roster thread, I apologize, but I would still be interested in it haha.

I don’t think Canuck fans would like it very much, but I’m a huge fan of Peterka, and byram is young enough to figure it out.

JTM was a monster last season, and extremely productive in the last three years.

Also, he demands work ethic, which is something I think Buffalo could use from everything I’m hearing.

Was just a thought

And I read something else on Canucks board, that he conflicts with his teammates, that he is not suitable for a young team and he needs a locker room with vets. Buffalo has been burned in the past by trading a player like this and doesn't want to repeat it. Pettersson is interested, Miller is not. Not to mention full NMC.

I do wonder about the full no movement clause because he’s a very prideful player, and I feel if they tried to trade him, he would say yes just because he wants to prove them wrong.

That makes me think that he might waive to Buffalo.

Also, I think the locker room issues are significantly overblown, nobody was talking about anything for two years, and suddenly it’s a big issue, most people blame JT because he’s louder, but it could very easily be petey.

And yet I will say no, we cannot trade our young 1RD and 1LW for the uncertainty of a 31(2) year guy who is probably gathering conflicts around himself. I read before that he had a conflict with Horvat and he gone, now with Pettersson and is attacking other teammates. We need good vets on the team, but I don't see Miller being that for us. If he was that good guy we probably wouldn't even be having this conversation.

Doesn't lying need intention?
I am sure many change their mind about something and believe they always thought this way.
There's actually a lot to this. Over a long timespan our thoughts and ideas have a tendency to change with new information or just new ways the information is presented. This happens really really slowly however. Usually slowly enough that we don't see the change in ourselves or our positions. You don't just wake up one day and start believing something different.

This slow change makes it almost imperceptible. You come out the other side truly believing this was always your position because you took baby steps to get there and your brain now rationalizes your current position as the correct one and the position you may have had in the past as completely wrong and something you never would have believed.

This is majorly how people end up changing political positions as well. They don't just decide one day they were wrong. They believe their positions have always been the same and sometimes even believe its the world around them that has changed instead.

What exactly is Byram figuring out? .. He is playing pretty well to me.

And I don't particularly care how good Miller has been last 3 years... he is about to turn 32..he is on downside of his career ..with questionable locker room issues and doesn't have an problem stepping out on his team in middle of season. I can't think of a worse way to utilize 2 fairly valuable young assets.

Believe me, I’m not upset. I also don’t care about status or being perceived a certain way. That’s your assumption. You wrote that I was smug and two posters immediately wrote they didn’t think you were right. The same would go for coming across as patronizing.

I’ve posted roughly 1K posts per year just based on the rough math. Going back 4 years meant you sifted through 4k posts. The feature shows the first few lines so you had to dig a bit. You were so intent on cutting me down that you took that time.

Good thing you’re on here to make sure no one gets too big for their britches. Everyone can see that now and knows what they’re getting into when you’re in the conversation. Merry Christmas
you ruffled some feathers, maybe even one's that trace back to the players/organization so good on you!

Kreider is 6'3" 230lbs. I don't care how much spunk Benson may have, he'll never be able to physically play Kreider's game.
I never said anything about physicality, I want Benson to be a rat that does rat like shit around the net. Kreider is very good around the net and hopefully would teach Benny a thing or two to evolve into a Marchand like player

Why not Martin St. Louis? Thats who I was hoping he would turn into. I don't expect the illustrious career but playing style would be great.

I think Benson does a lot of the things Crosby does well in the offensive zone. Very good below the goal line and does a lot of the little things to keep possession and keep the puck moving.

You clearly do. It's obvious. Most people would just laugh off some old takes.

"You know yea I was wrong that was pretty funny"

Would be the normal response. Your response was quite different. YOU WENT THROUGH 4 YEARS. LOOK AT MY TRACK RECORD. HOLD IT AGAINST YOURS.

"I’ve posted roughly 1K posts per year just based on the rough math. Going back 4 years meant you sifted through 4k posts."

That's not how it works. You put a name and it pops up. I just put in "Hockey IQ" and there you are. You're trying really hard to make it seem like I spent years digging into comments. I encourage anybody do that when they're in a discussion with someone. Especially when their argument was mentioning the times they were right in the past.

"Everyone can see that now and knows what they’re getting into when you’re in the conversation."

Likewise. New posters shouldn't take anything you say as gospel. Glad we got that sorted out.

Never said look at my track record compared to yours. Just said it was interesting that you decided to search through years of posts. And when I looked through your post history, it’s filled with post of you sh$ting on other people’s opinions.

You’re making strawman arguments and knocking them down. Same thing with your argument of what my take would be if this didn’t bother me.

There are posters on here who know what I used to do for a living. Believe me, the very last thing on planet earth I care about is what some poster thinks of me, regardless of what your background is.
