No dice on Kesselring. He’s been immensely valuable as both of Utah’s top two RD have been injured all season long. Kesselring has been huge for us.

Thoughts on Kulich for Crouse?

Is the value close, at least?
I think the value is close and Kulich is a guy that Adams is unlikely to trade at this point. Especially with him not looking out of place playing center for a few NHL games this season.

If there are two prospects that I would suspect that Adams would place the untouchable tag on, Kulich and Levi are the two.

Getting serious Foligno for Scandella vibes from this proposal.
If the Sabres are getting Foligno (Kreider) for Scandella (Samuelsson), then sign me up!

Getting Kreider/Crouse and playmaker top 6 C would be a huge help to the team and you would only have two kids in the top 6, which is what I wanted to do.

Adding on to this list, i would love to go get Jordan Spence from LA. I think he would be a great partner for Power. Kings board was looking at something along Quinn. I'd prefer to hang onto Quinn and rather dangle Peterka for Spence +.

In:
Kreider
Crouse
Spence
Additional plus from LAK

Out:
Samuelsson
Peterka
Kulich

That could maybe right this train. Then you go hunting using picks and prospects for another top 6 forward, ideally a 2c on a team that is selling.

If we're going full-on EA Sports "Be a GM" mode............go get Kadri and Weegar from the Flames if they fall off the pace anymore.

Will ANY of this all happen? OF COURSE NOT.

Fun to think about, though.

I was thinking of adding one of Kreider/Crouse. I'm not sure we can add two.

I like Spence, but I'm not sure I'd trade Peterka for him. He'll be locked into the third pairing there and there are some questions about his defensive metrics. He's definitely not a guaranteed top-4 RD, although he might actually be a good fit with Power.

I've already suggested this and even had a discussion on the main boards with one Flames fan. He was clearly intent on getting a huge price for it. I also decided to compare the Kadri + Weegar deal to Miller + McDonagh to Tampa.

Kakko would be one of my targets. Just like ROR he tries to change the culture and goes against the limp noodle management.

At the same time, he played decently this season, and it seems he has always been responsible in defense. We need more players who want and understand how to play defense, both defenders and forwards.
