I don't like how easy you make it, like you're trying to screw me over because I don't know as much about these players as you do. (No resentment) :)
No worries, this is HF boards if we don’t have a message where we’re trying to screw each other over because we think we’re NHL GM’s that we’re not doing our job as posters.

I’m just asking because the smoke coming from us with Nashville and Dylan Cozens is getting thick

Acknowledging Friedman is pulling this out of his behind, but for my own delusion I am accepting it as 100% happening.

EP40 is the exact kind of player we are lacking. Tage as your 2C makes your roster infinitely better. I'd try to get Soucy back as well just to get some more edge on the backend.
Since EPete has removed his head from his rear, I doubt the Canucks consider trading him for even a second.

Sabres are out of the playoffs for 15 years. Everyone on the team for 15 years isn't the difference between winning and losing.

That doesn't mean you ignore upgrades.
I think the upgrade from Reimer to Levi was worth the "downgrade" from Johnson to whomever took his spot in the lineup.

I think you upgrade everywhere you can without needing unique scenarios or stipulations.

Do you think the players actually feel good about the owner saying it’ll work itself out? Surely they aren’t all delusional enough to think they’re actually a good team catching some bad breaks.

In all seriousness, players have to take ownership.

Not saying other changes aren't needed, but this isn't a 10 loss in a row team on paper, even without dahlin

"Losing culture" has partially been guys waiting for stuff to resolve. Maybe a GM or coach gets fired, maybe they'll trade for a buddy of mine, maybe I'll get traded to a good team.

Again, doesn't mean there shouldn't be stuff done, but these guys cannot sit around and wait for someone to fix it for them

Sure, but also, Peyton Krebs has to know that he’s not scoring 25 as a 2C if he tries harder. Dan Gilbert is not a lockdown second pair guy and it’s not fair to expect that.

I'm not sure the players are the problem. What can they do? They play the way Krueger, Granato, Wilford and other coaches taught them. Look at how they play defense, almost everyone is struggling, and in reality, everyone, although I think Dahlin would have been fine overall if it weren't for his back, but even he was never Slavin or Weegar in defense. Jokiharju sucks, Bryson sucks, Sammy is mired in injuries and can't get into shape. Clifton is just a third-pair guy. We have the youngest team in the league, which means the players will not have consistency (I said this before the season, that Adams should take all the risks into account and add at least a top 6 F and a top 4 RD. Our roster is built wrong, our coaches next to Ruff are questionable. It's not easy.

I agree, again I think changes are necessary but as a player quitting can't be an option based on your opinions of the roster.

There's no excuse for 10 games in a row even if some guys are playing in roles beyond their ability
