TSN top 50 under 24.

Power at 5.
No JJ Peterka even though he has 16 points in 17 games, Benson also didn't make the list.

Not sure how you can put guys like Lindstrom, Catton, Cowan and others on the list without having Benson or Peterka.

I was just coming here to post about him too.

Adams = We are open for business!

What is this clown waiting for? There are teams that will trade.
I don't really get it either. There are obvious teams that are rebuilding, there are those that might be ready to shake things up a bit or are open to trades. The only problem might be NTC, but not all players have that.

Boldy and Mintyukov and Guenther also really low. Lots of Canadian team click bait there for sure.

Every team in the Eastern Conference is within 3 points of a playoff spot today.

Only 5 teams in the Western Conference are 4 points or more outside of a playoff spot today. And only 3 that are 5 points or more out of a playoff spot.

I wouldn't be shocked if there were not a lot of GMs that are ready to sell off a top 6 forward for futures today.

And I don't think too many fans want a Mitts for Byram kind of even deal that helps in one area and hurts in another. But, that might be the kind of deals out there today.

Chicago is not going to the playoffs, that's obvious, San Jose got Liljegren before that.

By the way, this deal doesn't look so bad now. Byram is starting to play better and better and we got a defenseman for the first pair. The problem here is that Cozens is not so good now.

I want nothing to do with Taylor Hall 2.0.

That kind of deal is not what the Sabres need now. They need to add and not to swap one useful player for another player. Especially if it takes a while for them to fit in with the Sabres.

What does Taylor Hall have to do with this?

Well, it depends on what kind of deal it is, not all of our players look good. But I just said about Byram's deal.

He's one of like 4 pending UFA forwards on Chicago with Donato, Maroon, and Smith.

And Alec Martinez is the only pending UFA on D.

I doubt they are going to sell off someone with team control beyond this year.

I doubt you are going to find a team to trade a player that is looking bad in Buffalo for someone who is playing well on their team.

If they move say Jack Quinn, it won't be for something that is playing really well right now. And a mere change of scenery move isn't what most fans want right now.

The only Chicago guys I'm interested in are Connor Murphy and Connor Bedard, but he's unavailable. I think they'll sell Murphy for a good price.

Like I said, it depends on the deal, but I'm looking more at futures deals with rebuilding teams. Or one deal with Anaheim with a change of scenery.

Oh stop. I like Johnson but that's nonsense.
Is it nonsense? Did you forget how well Johnson played last year? Try getting a promotion, performing above expectations, and getting demoted for no good reason. People think sports players are immune to normal human problems.

I forgot to watch Spence's game, but according to the post-game metrics, he was their best defensive player.

I’ve never really been on the Sammy train but I don’t think he’s realistically going anywhere with that A on his sweater, so I hope he figures it out

The heel reverse of having Marchand wind up as a Sabre would be fascinating. I don't see him waving but lordy...

Provorov, Marcus Pettersson and Cam Fowler 1-2-3 on that list. Pettersson is a guy who while the wrong hand is the sort of shutdown guy who I would love. It just means they would be running two left shot guys on the right side in the top 4.

Granlund, Zegras and Frederic would be interesting. Vatrano is not as bright this season, but he could also be an option.

Granlund looks like a guy who is thriving on situational TOI. Think back to the old Dom Moore trade when he was playing top 2 minutes because the Leafs had no one else. Granlund's getting pretty solid OZone advantage and PP1 time. It makes me cautious there.

Frederic is an interesting one - he's grown beyond being just a face puncher. I still don't think he reached his potential from when he was drafted, remembering him as Weissbach's center at Wisconsin for a time and his development was not linear. There was some moments both good and bad. Him in the middle of Malenstyn and either NAK or Lafferty would be a very, very sandy 4th line.

Well yes I agree that there might be a catch in Granlund.

I'm not sure Frederic is just a fourth line guy, I saw a comment about him scoring at a Boeser pace not too long ago or something like that. He had 31 points and 17 goals in '22-23 and 41 points and 18 goals last season, he's definitely not a fourth line guy in my opinion. I mean he could play there, but I think his potential is higher than guys like Lafferty and NAC. He could be a bit of a Swiss Army knife with a grit that plays in the top 9 at center or on the wing.

Would a Joker for Provorov 1 for 1 make any sense?
Do we need Provorov? I don't think we need another lefty, and Provorov is just not very good.

Yeah, he's had surprisingly good 5-on-5 production the two seasons prior to this one (so too did Coyle). Something like 5th on the Bruins in that time.

Yes it's nonsense. Johnson was sent down to be seasoned because he was getting put in the press box after bad nights which most of them were deserved..

Since he got sent down he has done nothing to get called up again despite Rochester's brass giving him every chance to succeed.
