What does this have to do with the news?

And then he scored 47 points and now the pace is not 70 points, although again this has nothing to do with it. I just gave an example of how the news about Rossi looks from the outside. This is not Eklund rumors, but a reliable local reporter.

I don't believe the story. Unless there's significant off-ice friction trading him makes zero sense.

Connor Murphy is just sitting there waiting for us.

That's the problem, he's really slow

Dahlin's look's like he didn't fold in his thumb.

Well I believe, as I said, the source is quite reliable. I read the Wild board and the main boards.

Underrated, but where is whose card, though?

Connor Murphy is just sitting there waiting for us.
He isn't one of the 9 D on Chris Johnston's trade list of 25 guys that he heard is available...

And with Seth Jones on IR, they are already woefully thin at RHD. Murphy played 18 minutes and change per game in October and that has jumped up over 22 minutes a game in November.

So, I doubt Chicago is open to moving him right now.

The "Respectable Posters" from MN on the main board seem incredulous about this report too.
Rather, they are trying to understand why this is happening. Who doesn't like Rossi Guerin or Hynes, maybe they don't want to pay him big money, question his height and are waiting for Yurov to arrive, who knows.

His 5v5 scoring rate is on pace with some of the best Cs in the NHL and his defensive acumen is promising as well. The issue is that the Wild FO appear to slight him in his deployment. For example, has been stapled to the awful PP2 unit his whole career.

I think he will sign an extension here. Maybe a bridge deal. But Russo has been beating the “FO doesn’t love Rossi” drum for awhile now and there be something to it.

If he is moved, it’s because the FO thinks Yurov is a lock to be a Top 6 C next fall or that they can move Rossi for a bigger C who fits their timeline.

The only reason for a Rossi trade would be if he flat-out refuses to sign a bridge deal.

No catch really. He's good young top 6 C, thats good in all 3 zones. Something the Wild have needed for basically ever.

Despite that, there is belief mostly pushed by Russo(although I should mention that he said in a radio hit that he doesn't agree with the Wilds thinking) that the wild aren't ready to commit to him long term. The reasons for that are unclear, but seem to be a combination of he's on the smaller side, they think Yurov will be better and then Rossi would be 3C, he'd command to much money.

All the reasons people come up with seem silly to me. If Yurov is better, I'm not sure there is a C in the game that can't play wing. And last I counted you need 6 top 6 forwards.

If Rossi is moved, it's because Guerin is a moron. Pretty simple.

Well, yes, I read it, and it essentially confirms that it is true, even though Russo doesn’t agree with it.

As I understand it, I disagree with trading Rossi, not with the fact that it is true. Maybe I translated it wrong, English is not my language after all.

A bunch of posters who don't seem to believe the report confirms it is true?

I said I don't believe the report, and that the respectable MN posters don't believe it. These are those receipts

Wait, they are also trying to understand the reason why this might happen, I have seen different opinions. It does not mean that it will not happen, but of course probably not now, but in the summer.

IIRC you're not a native english speaker? That could explain it. The phrasing they're using implies they don't believe the report is accurate; or if it is accurate it's leaving out the critical fact (if he's refusing to sign).

Yes, English is not my native language, although I have already learned it a little bit communicating with all of you guys, but still sometimes I have to use a translator. So I can get confused somewhere, sorry.

Oh no problem at all. And a message board is harder than speaking to pick up on subtle implications.

MN is somewhat (perhaps anachronistically) renowned for "Minnesota Nice" where they use less confrontational language. Buffalo is somewhat in this same speech family; but I think most of the posters here don't display it lol.

Those quotes suggest they believe there’s merit to the claims, but don’t understand the reasoning.

We'll soon see, quoting them is likely to summon them here.

I’ve thought about the hypothetical 2C addition a bit since the last game and I like the ROR idea the most. Get someone who’s done it before and can fill a leadership role on a young team.

Well, we already had a ROR who could take a leadership role in a young team.

Although he seemed to be among the Blues' leaders after that, there was definitely something wrong in Buffalo and he was not the captain and the star.
