Prospect Info: The 2024-2025 Prospects Thread

Barrie takes a 2-1 lead in the 2nd period, and its Anthony Romani who sets up Tristan Bertucci on the Power Play to give the Colts the lead. 17 points now in 11 games for Romani. This kid is on Fire.

One more period and the Colts are going to the Eastern Conference Final

I don't pay attention to CHL so don't have much context to compare, but seems Romani had a strong finish to the regular season and the playoffs. Yay prospects.

I love this time of year when the Nucks are out of the playoffs and we can obsess about a bunch of ECHL prospects.

We're mostly watching the AHL guys play and commeting on the 4, now 3, CHL guys.

Romani has a chance to actually have potential watching how he is performing on every level .

He has really proven he has a shot to have a pro career with how he has helped Barrie make it this far considering he missed more than 30 games with a serious upper body injury

I draft him in the 6th round every day

I posted that video Dave Hall made about Romani's points and it's a bit concerning that only 1 or 2 of those points were off the rush.

Anthony Romani scores his 10th of the postseason, Barrie sadly loses game one 3-1.

Oshawa will not be an easy matchup , nor will the London Knights if Barrie makes it too the OHL Final
Nobody is beat London this year. Lol.

Never say never , If you had told me Saginaw would of won the Memorial Cup last year I would of laughed ,

I get it is a one game elimination but they controlled the entire game despite the fact they scored the winning goal with under 30 seconds by Josh Bloom .

But yes I agree , London is now 9-0 in the playoffs and they will win it all unless we see a historical collapse

Rush goal. Lol. Looks like a young Brock Boeser there.

Yeah London is pretty unstoppable, I was only kidding when I said never say never , because I am still shocked London didn’t win the Memorial Cup last season , the same way I am shocked they lost to Shawinigan in 2012 .

It’s so hard to Believe the London Knights have only 2 Memorial Cups sometimes , when they simply always have such loaded and dominant teams

I actually had it in my mind that Romani was a smaller forward--but Hockey DB lists him at 6'1" and 190. So while he's not a 'power forward' type, he certainly isn't 'small either'.

What's the knock on him? Skating? Defensive awareness? Certainly his offensive instincts look to be off the charts.

Is he a candidate for a contract and sticking with Abby next season; or is it back to junior?

I think he gets an ELC after the playoffs , Romani is known for his offensive ability and as a playmaker. He has a really powerful shot and can get it off in a hurry and it causes alot of trouble for opposing netminders, he is really good at creating space for his teammates to get open and find the back of the net , He has a really high hockey IQ , he is also a strong skater and is fantastic off the rush ,

His defensive game also really came a long way this season so I think he has a solid chance to have a future as a middle 6 forward at the next level
