Prospect Info: The 2024-2025 Prospects Thread

Let's get back to prospects.

Anthony Romani and Riley Paterson take on Kingston in the second round Starts Thursday 10th.

Mynio takes on Lethbridge in the second round Starts Thursday 10th

Willander and Celebrini in the frozen 4 Thursday as well.

Sansonnens's second round starting Friday

It's too bad about Arliksson's year in the OHL. He started out on fire, but slowed down after the move from Barrie to Brampton--and then got hurt.

So he'll be in Abbotsford soaking up the playoff atmosphere and being exposed to pro hockey players and how they prepare every practice.

I doubt he ever goes back to the OHL. It's either the AHL or the ECHL for him.

Barrie wins 7-4,

Its been a long time since I can say I was confident in a prospect drafted in a very very later rounds .Romani is giving me hope he can be a goal scoring threat at the next level as he now has 9 goals in 7 games and is playing like we are expecting him too , and that’s putting the puck in the back of the net . Was worth taking a flyer on . Still a long shot prospect but he definitely deserves a spot in Abby next year in the top 9 and let’s see what he can do .

It’s good to see Patterson finally putting in good effort and getting on the score sheet but I will reserve judgement on him until after his age 19 season as he is playing on a loaded Barrie team and has been inconsistent all season long and his production is either really good or really bad .

Regardless it is fun to follow some Canucks prospects as we enter the Spring season here in Vancouver with a chance to play in the Memorial Cup, But sadly I still think it will be the London Knights who will win it all , but you never know as 2 years ago ,

We saw my old buddy Connor Lockhart and his Petes upset the Knights so fingers crossed the Colts can go that far

Pretty hard to be a Canucks fan , look at how they are winning now when they should be trying to get a better draft pick .

This team truly can’t do anything right ever ,

And until now we haven’t had many prospects to root for at all , Lockhart was always a long shot but it was fun to watch him , hoping Romani can potentially make it,

It’s a long shot , but he has a much better shot at any sort of Pro Career

The difference in the spots 12-20 wouldn't make much of a difference if they won all the games or lost them all, they will get a similar potential prospect. Now Kashawn Aitcheson would be pretty sexy addition to our backend were building. I cant see any of the centers in that range changing my mind on him.

I want Brady Martin if he is available,

We desperately need legit forward prospects , I can ride with our defensive depth for at least another year

Effort for Patterson... WHAT! Lol
Many of us watched him earlier this year and pretty much wrote him off because of the insane lack of effort. Barrie did get an entire new first line which moved him down to the 2nd and easier match up.

Patterson and Romani both are horrible skaters though.
