GDT: Eagles @ Ducks | 8pm MT | Let’s Get This Over With So We Can Get to Playoffs

Feel-good way to end the reg season with that 3rd period.

Aamodt is a pretty promising solid guy, positively contributed. Could be a nice depth D for us next year.

Now... Deep breath, focus, and onto slaying the dragon.

I'm calling it from now, the Avs are going to start next season with Middleton as the 3LD and Aamodt is going to be a 7/8 sort. Bednar seems to like him.

Beds will play him over Middleton if it comes down to it. In both games he had more TOI than Midds

First carreer goal, 9 blocks, 6 hits and +1 in his two game cup if coffee isn't too shabby, I'm happy for the lad. Didn't look out of place skating or moving the puck, either. He's going to get a long look next season for sure

Other non-automatic qualifiers besides Ivan include:
Gabe Landeskog, Erik Johnson, Miles Wood, Marty Necas, Ryan Lindgren, Jack Drury, Jimmy Vesey, Charlie Coyle, Brock Nelson, Chris Wagner, the rest of the AHL crew with under 20 games each

Obviously most of those named dudes would have to play in the Finals for the Avs to actually win the Cup, so that would take care of itself. But there's no guarantee of playing time for guys like Johnson (14 games), Vesey (10 games), Wood (37 games), or Wagner (28 games) if everyone else is healthy. Seems very likely that they'd petition for any of those four, though.

So nice to see the regular season end with EJ goal.
And so shell end our cup-run. Empty net for the cup-win by EJ....🆒

Man, that Motherf***er gonna be tilt until september if that happens and he rides into retirement with a another cup.... :D

Ok so we won. That was unexpected. I went to bed going into the 3rd when we were down 2-0. Still likely 6 days or so left for the playoffs. Hopefully the top guys are incubating in the sweat of Eric Brewer as they gather strength for the trials ahead.
Landy needs to make a ritual sacrifice to the old gods before the playoffs in true viking way.

Maybe the other knee this time...

??? Wedgewood has a whopping 105 min of NHL playoff hockey experience.
My mistake. I was looking at the wrong column. Feels like Wedgie's been around for a long time... thought he had played more in the playoffs than 3 games.
Great. Now we’re all going to find out we’re going to hell and this guy and Cassie are actually disabled
What do you mean 'find out' ?

Nice of you to call that Ducks team an NHL roster after that performance lol
Lol. I'm not really sure what the hell Anaheim was doing the last 10 mins. They completely quit and let Colorado's F squad score at will. I know meaningless game for them as well, but I can't imagine their coach being thrilled by that. And I imagine that a majority of their players were embarrassed as well considering it was their last home game.

Yep. Their faces after game during the circle on the middle of the ice waving to their fans... "Can we just get outta here...?"

I'm still watching and with ten minutes left I was so annoyed I came on here to complain so, good for Aamodt. Bet Middleton is raging.

But can we talk about that shift of Nelson's where he didn't have a stick? That was pure Mittelstadt. Just wandering around. He'd better have a switch to flip or we're f***ed. What in earth is he doing with a letter?

For a guys his size I am always amazed how weak Nelson is on the puck. After the stretch Coyle has had I am not against Bednar switching them at 2C and 3C when we are down a goal or two.

People again down on a guy producing at a 56 point pace playing for a brand new team after 13 years with the same organization and in an utterly meaningless game.

Good stuff.
He's shite until he proves otherwise.

Coyle got traded from his hometown team and has been twice the player Nelson has.

Actually they should petition skuld, the Aseir and the vanir are still subject to to the norns

That Isles fan warned us, he's not an overtly physical player, probably a big reason why he's had such a long career and seems to be playing his best hockey well into his thirties.

I'm not too worried about it yet--the team seemed to find a good fit for him before guys started getting injured. I am way, way more concerned about literally every single scoring line winger dealing with injury, and it's clear both Nuke and Lehky have been dealing with stuff long before they were rested.
