Mynio with a 2G-1A for 3 pts against lowly Kelowna. Calgary has given up 3 goals against in their last 6 games. Mynio's playing big minutes on that blueline. Giving up nothing is more impressive than his offensive numbers to me.
Calgary's got a strong group of defencemen for sure. Mynio's a good prospect, Yakemchuk was drafted 7th overall. The sleeper, in my opinion is Kalem Parker. Normally wouldn't expect much from a guy drafted in the 6th round who is playing as an overager in the CHL and isn't signed yet by his drafting team (Wild), but it wouldn't surprise me if he has an actual NHL career.

Yes and yes it’s really boring hockey
It’s the game they have to play to have a chance to win. They don’t have a Connor or Leon in their back pocket to play fire wagon hockey. Funny, everybody whines about Tocchet but don’t provide any names of who should replace him and why.

I realize that Danila Klimovich has been a polarizing player on these Boards--and for good reason.

But watching him the last few games, something might have 'clicked' with him. He really developing some raw speed off the wing, and his shot is just handcuffing AHL goalies. I know we've seen this blip on the radar screen before, but somehow it just seems more sustainable this time.

I would really be huge if he suddenly morphed from a 'suspect' into a legitimate 'prospect' He's listed at 6'2"and 202, and just turned 22 in early January.

For a team starved for size, speed and shot-making off the wing like the Vancouver Canucks--it would be a bit of a game-changer if he had any NHL potential at all.

doesn’t need to be binary, either firewagon or lemaire hockey.
