Much better players available. Why draft a guy who tops out at a third line center when you have second line potential players still available.

Not my pick, but I see the reasoning. I think his offensive potential is both under and overrated. Him Kasper and Larkin is gonna be a dream C Corp. Build from the middle out.

Skating would be my guess
I could see that. I think it was Weekes who said something to the effect of "that's something you can improve" but honestly I understand being scared off by questionable skating. Sure it can be improved, but usually not tremendously. If a kid looks slow at 18 that's hard to overcome.
